im used to having breakouts (small or big) on my forehead for years. so i decided to try and start having a skincare routine. 

few days/weeks before i started the skincare routine, my cheeks also got acne. my first thought was maybe because of the need to wear mask whenever going out (which i did, mostly due to internship).

this is my first time doing a skincare routine. i bought the skincare products based on this app (holy grail/worth a try for oily/combo) to give it a try. my skin used to be oily on the t-zone, but lately (before and after the routine), my t-zone is not as oily as before.

everything was kinda fine when i started but as time passes, i noticed that acne on my cheeks got worse and so i decided to change/simplify my routine. to be honest, i dont know if it's purging or irritation. 😔

anyone, in your opinion, the skincare products i used currently (& before) a good choice or any other suggestions?

p.s. my forehead is getting better now. currently, im trying to treat my cheeks.

Purging or Irritation? Need Skincare Feedback.

In October 2021, I posted a discussion regarding my skin concern (https://www.gopicky.com/discussion/48376/purging-or-irritation-need-skincare-feedback).

I received helpful feedbacks and was told that I might suffer from purging due to the amount of exfoliate products I had in my routine.

So this year, I changed my skincare products & reduced the AHA/BHA products. However, I rarely stick to my skincare routine. In the last few months, I usually just use the cleanser (Neutrogena Deep Clean cleanser). I only moisturised like once or twice a week because I always forgot 😂 Anyway, I think it was quite okay since I didn't suffer with any breakouts except during my menstrual cycle. 

I started to get back and stick to my skincare routine since late April, I think. And I reduced it to only one of each cleanser, toner, moisturiser, and spf(I always forgot to apply this). I didn't notice any difference as time flies, but when I compared my current and October 2021 photos, I clearly see the difference 🤩

There are a few changes on the products that I used last few months vs. now, but I will try to stick to my current products and see how it progresses ☺️

update on my skin condition

i can see my forehead is getting better for sure. unfortunately my cheeks have its ups and downs till this day. same goes to my chin. comparing MAR23 with JUN22, my chin is doing better tho. 

started skin cycling less than 2 weeks before FEB ended. hopefully this will help my skin gets better. 

i think i have more moisturising ingredients & i probably should add AHA/BHA ingredients to my routine to fight the problem from within. but for now, i'll just stick with what i have.

Skin Update - Self Reference

personally, there is nothing bad about this product. i've been searching for a suitable and affordable sunscreen and this is definitely one that i will keep.

loving this product because

1. it is lightweight.
2. i no longer having the struggle of my face excessively sweating.
3. does not make my face looks (too) oily.
4. there is no whitecast.

my lips probably relying on it too much bc when i forgot to use it, my lips became dried and chapped again. sometimes, the balm dried and hard to apply on the lips.

i've struggled with dry and chapped lips for so long and i've tried many lip balms before but none really do the job for me, until i tried this one. i

it did help with my dry and chapped lips. since then, i religiously applied it whenever my lips felt dry.

it does not have fragrance.
