Hi, Picky community!
Can you suggest me the best pimple patches you've ever used? I have these small whiteheads that usually appear on a certain time during my menstrual cycle (which i think is related to hormones).

Things I take into consideration when picking my pimple patches:
- size variety (2 ou 3 different sizes)
- good absorption of pus, without having to pop the pimple beforehand
- large quantity + low price (if possible!!)

(btw for example of spot patches that I don't like: I tried the Real Barrier patches, I'll tag them below, and it didn't do it for me, they were so thin and just covered my pimples, it didn't absorb the pus or minimized the redness...it only did something when I popped them and put a patch on top of the wound; on the other hand, I really liked the Olive Young ones, which I'll also tag bellow, but they don't sell them on Stylevana anymore, where I order my beauty products)

Hey guys!! I'm in the hunt for a new lip spf so tell me: in your opinion, which is the best lip spf you ever tried? It doesn't matter if it's a tinted lip spf or not, I just want to protect my whole skin from the sun.

Hi Picky users!
For context, I'm 18 years old but I pick my skin since I was 13 years old, the time of my life where I started getting acne due to puberty.
I decided to start a proper skincare routine in may of 2022 and since then, I've been facing my skin picking disorder (aka dermatillomania). +
These past 6 months were hell to my skin: I tried to keep it under control but "relapsed" after a week and picked my whole face...this didn't happened once or twice but multiple times, like a vicious cycle I couldn't escape.
As I'm growing older, I'm getting better at identifying my triggers, controlling my hands and stoping the urges of picking my skin.
I've been doing cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to fight my anxiety and stress (so I wouldn't pick my skin) and so far it's working!

Now, is it possible to fade older PIH (mainly) and PIE naturally? I'm afraid time won't make my dark marks fade away and I'll never be able to get an even complexion.. :(
I almost can't see them in my bathroom mirror but they're quite visible in different lighting (clothing stores, etc). They're most likely PIH from the past months I picked, but still, will it go away with time? 


Also, if you're curious about my skincare routine:
(started using the Hydrating Cleanser and the Moisturizing Cream in may, they worked out great for me, then introduced the Foaming Oil Cleanser for double cleansing, even tho it's not technically an oil cleanser, and this year tried niacinamide serum)

Before you suggest an exfoliating product:
Even tho these products never made me breakout whatsoever, I'm afraid to try to incorporate an exfoliant and it goes wrong, I don't want to deal with the breakouts and their future dark marks. I always advocate for hydration > exfoliation, my skin just prefers moisture and hydration.

And yes, I wear sunscreen AND reapply everyday. I think that's what made my dark marks fade faster.

How long does it take to fade hyperpigmentation naturally?

I created this discussion to bring awareness to our dear planet Earth!

Even though we love skincare in this Picky community, we SHOULD be aware of the consequences it has for the environment, such has the following:

More than 120 billion units of packaging being produced by the cosmetics industry EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR, and a good deal of it isn’t recyclable.
Brands packing their products in excessive plastic packaging that isn’t necessary and takes hundreds of years to break down, all while emitting harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Some brands seek packaging alternatives like aluminum and glass, but these take more energy to produce so it’s not necessarily an adequate solution.
Some other brands already have eco-friendly packages but it's a low percentage, compared to the other brands on the market, so our planet still is at disadvantage. 


Following this topic, we, as a human being, created culture of product overload. YES, ALL OF US CONTRIBUTED to consumerism...and most of us are excessive consumers. Most of us buy way more than we need for the sake of diversity and multiple options, but most of this ends up going to waste!! 
(not me tho, I'm a minimalism advocate and embraced that lifestyle, y'all stay safe) as I was saying...

Do you ever thought about how often you actually use up the ENTIRETY of one of your makeup products? (giving this as example since I'm still not the biggest makeup wearer, so yeah, this applied to me too, in the past).
Or the products sent in PR? Did you even opened those? We buy and receive products that end up getting dust in our shelves or not seeing daylight in our bathroom medicine cabinets.
The first and most effective thing we can do is limit the amount of products that we consume AND accept to receive in PR (for all the influencers out there, I'm looking at you). 
Try sticking with only the necessities and find products you love that you can use up and replace when necessary, because let’s face it...nobody needs six different moisturizers.

If you find yourself in this situation, accumulating products for the sake of a "skincare collection"...please, don't. 
Give it to someone in your family, your friends, donate to a shelter or someone in need. I promise they'll thank you...and planet Earth will too! <3

Earth Day!

I bought Soft&Co Rosehip Oil (a portuguese brand, which isn't even listed here on Picky) so I can leave it on my skin during the days or periods of time that I'm staying at home (when I go out, I always wear sunscreen but there's some days that I have online classes and I'm not near any windows to catch sunlight).

I'm hoping this will be helpful cause, in my opinion, oil is kinda icky and that feeling would prevent me from picking at my face. Also, my fingers would just slide across my skin everytime I tried to pop a pimple, therefore I wouldn't be able to pick my skin.
I have some questions tho:

1) Do I need to patch test this oil? If yes, then for how long/how many hours or days before using it on my face? (even tho rosehip oil is not likely to cause irritation, or so I've heard)

2) If you've used rosehip oil before on your skin (face), or still use, how was your experience? Did you liked it? Tell me about it!!

On the other hand, it created a super noticeable white cast on my lips, made them look sooo beige, almost like my fair skin tone, and look like they were peeling (even tho they're not, I take good care of my lips). This happened after a few swipes, in order to make sure I had the protection presented in the package.
The experience is just awful, I could feel it sitting on top of my lips because it felt that heavy, you know? I'm pretty sure you could find better ones at the same price, somewhere. 

It was 3€ at the drugstore, which I think is a pretty reasonable price for a lip SPF.
I guess it did its job, this lip SPF did protect my lips from the sun and locked all the hydration my other lip products gave me before.

It stings my eyes so I make sure to wash the eye area gently with the eyes closed, of course. Also, don't use on sensitized skin (or skin with open wounds) as it has citric acid and let me tell you: it burnssss on popped pimples! 

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!
It's not a conventional oil cleanser, as it as a gel type of consistency, but does the job as well! It comes off as an oil but when emulsified, turns into a foam that feels gentle on the skin :)
At first, I used this as an oil cleanser for 4 months alongside with the Hydrating Cleanser, also from CeraVe, but found out my skin likes it better when I use only the Foaming Oil Cleanser. Still, it removes my sunscreen and cleanses all the impurities just enough for my skin to feel hydrated!
Istg, when I wash it off, my skin feels so fresh and plump AND it is affordable (at least where I live)!
