Medicube Triple Collagen Toner

This is quite a hydrating toner but I'm not a fan of it honestly. The texture of this toner is on the thicker side but spreads easily on my skin and absorbs well. I do find however that this toner does leave my skin feeling tacky/ sticky. I have combination skin type so maybe this is too hydrating for me. This toner also has quite a strong fragrance/ scent so this may not be the best option for those who are sensitive to scents. Apart from that I do love the beautiful packaging and added benefit of collagen in this toner. Overall I feel this toner is best suited for drier skin types. 


Medicube Deep Vita C Ampoule-

This is a lovely ampoule. It has a slightly slimy texture and is pale orange in color. The scent is quite strange and I can't put my finger on what it smells like but almost fermented smelling? The scent is tolerable and dissipates by the time I apply my face cream. I usually apply this ampoule after cleansing and applying toner. I find Vita C layers well and leaves my skin looking plump and glowy but a little shiny after immediate application. I like that this ampoule comes is 3 smaller bottles versus 1 large bottle since the main active ingredient is Vitamin C, which can be unstable and oxidize when exposed to air or light. Overall I would purchase this ampoule despite the strange scent. 


Medicube Triple Deep Erasing Cream-

I really enjoyed using this face cream. Its rich and moisturizing but does not feel too heavy on my skin. It has a lovely herbal-like scent and absorbs into my skin well without making my face oily. After using Triple Deep Erasing Cream my skin looked plump and smooth with my fine line less noticeable. Although I have combination skin type, I find this cream can work for both a day-time and night-time face cream.

Pestlo + Road Pantherecipe 

This was my first time trying anything from the brand Pestlo + Road, and I am pleasantly surprised how well I like their Pantherecipe cream! The cream itself is white in color and has a rosemary scent (due to rosemary leaf oil in the cream). This cream also contains ceramide and panthenol. The texture is soft with medium viscosity and melts into skin absorbing well while being light-weight. I find this cream moisturizes my skin but does not leave a shiny layer atop of my skin but rather more matte looking. I like to use this cream under makeup and find it moisturizes my skin perfectly without being oily or greasy, layering well with foundation. Pantherecipe would be a great option for most skin types but especially for those who are looking to moisturize their skin without an oily/ heavy layer.

COMMONLABS Vitamin E Calming Ampoule 

What perfect timing to receive this product! My skin lately has been breaking out with inflamed acne and found this Common Labs Ampoule helps calm down the inflammation. The ampoule itself is on the thicker side but spreads easily on my skin.  I do find the dropper to be a bit of a hassle to use though since the viscosity of the ampoule is on the thicker side. The ampoule absorbs well leaving my skin with a light, clean feeling. The scent is mainly of Tea Tree (no wonder since its the first ingredient and has 72% of Tea Tree Extract)! I like to use this ampoule both morning and night and find it calms my skin while being hydrating. This ampoule would be perfect for those with irritated/ inflamed skin especially those with oily or combination skin types.

Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk Toner

This milky texture toner is perfect for keeping skin hydrated and dryness away. The toner itself is of medium viscosity and is easy to spread across my skin. After applying my skin definitely feels hydrated and moisturized but not in a heavy or sticky way. Overall its a lovely fragrance-free, no frills option for those looking to add moisture and sooth their skin.


*contains Macadamia Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Ceramide NP, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Red Ginseng Extract, Mushroom Extract, Propolis Extract and Adenosine 

This is a lovey serum. The texture is of medium viscosity and glides effortlessly across my skin due to the slippery texture. It does have a scent which is a bit of an herbaly spicy/ peppery scent in my opinion. The serum absorbs quickly leaving skin moisturized but not sticky. It dries down to a lightweight texture making it perfect to apply the next steps of my skincare routine. I do have acne-prone skin but did not experience any issues with this product clogging my pores or causing breakouts. Since using this serum my skin looks radiant, smoother and energized. Overall its an excellent serum that I have enjoyed adding into my skincare routine.

This sunscreen is a dream to use! It has a lightweight texture that leaves behind ZERO white cast. I have combination skin thats been leaning a bit more oily lately and I find this sunscreen leaves my skin hydrated without being oily or greasy. I also have sensitive eyes and this sun cream didn't cause any stinging or irritation even when applied to my under-eye area. It wears well under make-up and I love the pump style dispenser. Overall this is an excellent sun protection option even for those with sensitive skin. 

 I have combination skin (thats been leaning more oily lately) and find this is too "rich" for my skin. Once I rinse it off I feel a residue on my skin that feels heavy/ with too much moisture. I use this cleansing oil as part of a double cleansing routine. I also find this cleansing oil stings my sensitive eyes.

Although this is a lovey cleansing oil, unfortunately its not for me. The cleansing oil contains a blend of oils that thoroughly remove my makeup, including long-wear lipsticks and waterproof mascara. Overall this cleansing oil does what it says but maybe best suited for those with drier skin types and not sensitive eyes.

This has become my go-to face cream lately. The cream has a medium viscosity that spreads and absorbs easily. I find this cream works well both in my AM and PM skincare routine and wears well with my makeup. Since using this cream my skin feels both hydrated and moisturized without and sticky sensation. Overall this is a nice cream but probably best suited for drier skin types as oily or combination skin may find it too moisturizing.

I recently added Retinol into my skincare routine and find these yam-based products are the perfect addition for keeping my skins' barrier healthy and protected with the added moisture and hydration.
