What are some sleep/overnight masks that you love? I recently started using the Iunik one and I’m surprised how much I like it. Really locks in all the moisture and products I put on for my night routine and my skin looks great in the morning. So just looking for new ones to add to my list to try!

Has anyone tried the Riversol 15 day trial kit? I just signed up to get the redness control kit for combination skin. I have rosacea so I thought it may be something good to try, even though I’m a little iffy on some of the ingredients in the products.

Hello Pickies! I know there was a discussion on confusion with this product so I did reach out to the brand and ask how it is intended to be used and this was their response. I posted on the previous discussion as well but wanted to make sure anyone who was still confused saw this!

I plan to use it after the shampoo and then see how my hair feels. If it feels too dry I will still use my regular conditioner too.

Rosacea tips!

While I do normally have combination skin, it is usually way more dry than oily and the products I use for dry skin are ok for my few small oily spots. This summer my skin has completely switched and is more oily than dry and I’m struggling. I have simplified my routine and have switched from heavier moisturizers to light gel moisturizers only. Just wondering what else those of you with oily skin incorporate into your routine to help with managing it. Any suggestions are helpful! Thanks!

I received this product for free from Picky and Mary&May in exchange for my honest review.

This essence is actually a product I have already tried and my favorite product in the Mary & May blackberry line. It’s a dream for dry skin! It’s silky, hydrating, and soothing. It contains so many amazing ingredients like blackberry and fig extracts, jojoba, cica, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides. This essence is a bi-layer product that looks so beautiful when it mixes into a lovely milky texture. It smooths onto skin so nicely and absorbs quickly. No stickiness or tackiness ever, just instant absorption that leaves skin feeling incredibly hydrated and supple. It does contain jojoba oil, but it does not feel or look oily on my skin at all. It contains no added fragrance, just has a very natural, very slight sweet blackberry smell to me. I really enjoy using this essence both day and night. 


Nothing bad about this product! Highly recommend, especially if you’re like me and don’t really like to bother with a lot of makeup or just want something quick and easy with great payoff.

I don’t wear much makeup on a daily basis, but when I saw elf release this I knew it was something I could easily incorporate into my morning routine and had to have it. It literally only takes an extra minute to put some on after my tinted sunscreen (and yup, most of the time I just use my fingers to apply it to keep it quick) and like magic I have a glowy radiant look to my skin. It’s light and glides onto your skin very nicely, does not feel thick or heavy. Gives a very natural glowy look to your skin and just makes your entire face look brighter. I also love the applicator, it’s a large, soft doe foot applicator. 

I would say my skin tone is in between light and medium and I got the lightest shade available in this (fair) after reading many reviews on the elf website. It’s perfect, but I could probably go up a shade to the fair/light as well. It comes in 8 shades.

The only negative is that I don’t think it lasts very long, but I don’t mind reapplying so no big deal for me. 

I would describe this as a glossy balm. It’s thick, hydrating, and nourishing but also super glossy and shiny. Has a hint of pink color and makes your lips look really juicy and plump. Smells really good but has no taste. Easy to use squeeze tube. 

If you have dry and flaky skin, sensitive skin, or irritated skin then you need this balm! It’s not hydrating, but it is incredibly moisturizing and nourishing for skin. It’s a thicker balm consistency, just as the name suggests, but not greasy or heavy. It smooths onto skin very nicely and absorbs well. Does not leave any tackiness on the skin. Does not contain any fragrance, really smells like nothing at all. I personally used this balm paired with a ceramide serum to heal irritated and flaky skin I had from a new retinol product and it healed my skin in about 2.5 days. Would also be perfect for the colder, drier months of the year when you’re more likely to experience dry and flaky skin or irritated skin due to wind or cold burn. Also perfect to have on hand for irritated skin due to the use of new products or a reaction, or even just for sensitive skin to keep your skin barrier healthy.

The applicator is cute but not functional at all!

First of all, I actually love the color Pillow Talk in this gloss. This particular color is said to be a lot of peoples’ perfect nude color, but I have such a hard time finding the perfect nude lip color so I had doubts it would work for me. But it really is my perfect nude (I have tried the lipstick as well and it also looks great). The plumping effect that this gloss is supposed to have is almost non-existent though. It’s minty and tingly upon application and does make lips look ever so slightly plump and fuller for about 5 minutes, but that’s about it. The rest of the time you are wearing it it’s just a nice regular gloss. I do like the gloss formula, it feels nourishing but not sticky or greasy. However, the applicator for this is the worst. It’s cute with the little heart shape at the end, but it is not practical and actually makes the product harder to apply. It’s hard to get enough product onto the applicator and hard to apply evenly. Whoever approved this applicator was only thinking of aesthetics, not functionality. Overall, it’s a really great color for me and I do like the formula, but the applicator drives me so crazy that I would think twice before I repurchased.
