Limitations / what people don’t like

1. Brightening is subtle, slow
If you have stubborn dark spots (especially deep PIH or old acne scars), many users say this product might not deliver fast or dramatic improvement. It works more gently and over time. 


2. Some irritation reported
A few users felt stinging, especially those with very sensitive or eczema-prone skin. It seems likely that some of the actives (vitamin C derivative, tranexamic acid) or even the texture (micro-beads) can aggravate sensitive skin in some cases. 


3. Texture / micro-beads can feel scratchy
The little capsules (white beads) that dissolve are liked by many, but some say if you rub too roughly, they can be felt and a bit abrasive, especially on delicate skin. 


4. Large bottle / heavy packaging
Because the bottle is large and glass, it can be heavy (hard to travel with), easy to waste if exposed to light/heat, etc. 


5. Inconsistent effect across skin types
Some people with oily skin or those used to strong actives didn’t find much benefit (for brightening or fading marks) vs. their previous stronger serums. Also, sensitivity to irritation or stinging depends a lot on other products in the routine.

It’s a lightweight ampoule/serum that uses 77% Centella Asiatica extract + brightening ingredients: 4% Niacinamide, 2% Tranexamic Acid, plus a vitamin C derivative (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid) and Madecassoside. 

It has micro-capsules (“capsules” or “white beads”) that dissolve on skin contact. 

Intended benefits: calm redness, even out skin tone, fade dark spots, brighten, strengthen skin barrier. 


✅ What users like / strengths

Based on many user reviews:

1. Gentle soothing & hydration
People with sensitive or reactive skin often mention that this ampoule does a good job of calming irritation, redness, and providing hydration without feeling heavy or greasy. 

2. Light texture & comfortable wear
The texture is described as water-or light gel-like. It absorbs reasonably well, not super sticky, and layers nicely under other products. 

3. Gradual brightening / fading of marks
A number of users say they see slight improvement in pigmentation / dark spots or uneven tone over time. It’s not dramatic, but there is some visible change after consistent use. 

4. Nice packaging & value
The bottle is large (often 100 mL), so many feel you’re getting good volume. The dropper application is convenient. 

5. Fragrance-free & doesn’t burn most people
Many say it’s fragrance-free (or minimal scent) and doesn’t irritate when used properly. 


I have nothing bad to say about this product.

I love Anua Azelaic! After just a few weeks, I noticed my dark spots are fading, my pimples are calming down, and my skin looks more even. It doesn’t irritate me at all, even though I have sensitive skin. The texture is light, non-greasy, and easy to apply under my moisturizer. I would buy it again without a second thought!
