This is my first post on here, so hiii!
I’m just now skimming around various reviews on the web and I thought I’d come here to ask for first hand opinions.
I’m looking at various LED masks and I’m wondering if you have tried any that are good at a reasonable price?
The Dr Dennis Gross one is out of my budget! I was eyeing the one on Wishtrend but they don’t ship to my country anymore.
I’ve seen the Skingym one for quite a decent price, but is it any good?

good at home LED light mask?

It has quite a potent scent of citrus peels so I wouldn’t suggest it to skin that’s sensitive to fragrance oils as they are listed quite high in the inci (bergamot fruit oil and orange peel oil if I’m not mistaking). The scent lingers for around 10 minutes but I find it dissipates after that. For me, it’s a relaxing scent but I would not reccomend it to everyone.

The first three &#47; four applications, it tingled a little bit as it has a higher concentration of Lactic Acid, so if your skin is sensitive, I’d skip this entirely or maybe would build up to it instead of diving right in as I did.

The price tag is the biggest con to me, though. I have another mini that I’m saving for when my skin is in worse condition, but after that, it’ll be a hard pill to swallow if I were to repurchase a full size. Granted, 15ml lasted me long, but still… It’s a luxury price tag.

Though I have dry&#47;dehydrated skin (mainly dehydrated during the summer months as I do sweat and produce more oil during the hot weather), I found this moisturizer quite effective in keeping my skin plump and bouncy. I was afraid that it wouldn’t be enough due to the lightweight texture and the quick absorbtion of the product into the skin, but I have to say it never left my skin feeling tight after a few hours (which happens when a cream doesn’t deliver enough hydration to my skin).
I used a mini of 15ml and it lasted me quite some time as well. Around a month of use twice daily. 
It kept my skin clear of acne caused my sweating under a mask which I was suprised to find out as usually the only active that effectively does that for my skin is salicylic acid.

* CONS:
- not travel friendly, I’d say. the glass bottle is very good quality but it’s still glass.

✨ KEY INGREDIENTS:
- CENTELLA ASIATICA WATER: soothing, antioxidant;
- GLYCERIN: hydrating emollient;
- NIACINAMIDE: evening out skin tone (reducing redness, reducing the appearance of pores, reduces hyperpigmentation), regulates sebum production;
- TRANEXAMIC ACID: reduces hyperpigmentation, evens out skin tone;
- MADECASSOSIDE: reduces redness/blotchiness of skin, reliefs itching;
- LECITHIN: skin softening, plumping;
- PANTHENOL: humectant that hydrates the skin, may have some anti inflammatory/soothing properties;
- ARGININE: anti-aging (plumps and firms skin tone);
- VITAMIN C (3-O ETHYL ASCORBIC ACID): a vitamin c derivate that’s more stable (the packaging does not come in a tinted glass, so it may be less photosensitive);
- LACTOBACILLUS FERMENT: skin calming, soothing for irritated and dry skin.

✨ SKIN TYPE BEST SUITED FOR:
all skin types. ingredients are best suited for dry/sensitive skin who want a brighter complexion but the feeling of the ampoule is light, not sticky and easily absorbed so most skin types can easily use it.


✨ PERSONAL OPINION (on dry/dehydrate acne-prone skin)
* PROS:
- size of the bottle is pretty hefty. i use this product in the serum step of my routine so 100ml will last me more than double than a standard 30ml bottle will;
- it’s nicely hydrating. i still need to go in with a moisturizer, but i feel a difference in how long my skin feel plump when i use the ampoule vs. when i don’t. it keeps my skin from getting tight within an hour of applying cream so to me that’s always a big win;
- it’s not sticky and it absorbs easily into the skin;
- decently brightening too, but gentle on the skin. it doesn’t have high concentration of vitamin c and niacinamide so if you’re used to high percentages, you may not see a difference, but for me it’s the perfect formulation as my skin is very chapped/flaky in winter so i can’t use potent actives or my skin will become painfully sensitive. results may take longer to be seen but i can use this product daily with no irritation.


I would recommend this product as an all-in-one brightening/hydrating serum for the daytime (used in conjunction with SPF). I’m 100% repurchasing this for myself, even though it’s gonna take me forever to go through it.



- Unlike most serums, it did not provide additional moisture under my creams. I have very dry skin and I don’t think this product adds something valuable enough to introduce it in my routine. There’s other calming serums that make a difference in hydration as well. I don’t think this product is fit for my skin type.
- In addition, I don’t agree with the naming of it. Granted, it’s a small pet peeve, but there’s so many other antioxidant ingredients in the inci and Vitamin E is extremely low on the list. I would have named it an antioxidant/soothing ampoule. It’s not a big concern, but since I’m here giving my two cents, it’s an opinion I’ve been holding ever since reading the ingredients for my review breakdown.

✨ PRODUCT INFO:
- cruelty free;
- contains fragrance in form of tea tree essential oil and limonene. the tea tree scent is very strong. 
- texture: clear gel-like consistency with a light green tint. melts upon rubbing it in and turns into a watery and easily absorbed light serum. non sticky. 
- packaging: green glass bottle with silicone tip dropper. I find the dropper is a bit too thin to pick up enough in one go.

✨ KEY INGREDIENTS:
- 72% MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA (TEA TREE) LEAF EXTRACT: anti-acne with antibacterial properties;
- GLYCERETH-26 & GLYCERIN: moisturizing, humectant;

✨ SKIN TYPE BEST SUITED FOR:

In my opinion, this ampoule would be best soothed for oily skin with some break outs. I don’t think it would work well for heavy acne, but it may calm down a few breakouts here and there (it did for me). Sensitive skins may not benefit for this due to the essential oil contents and dry/dehydrated skin types like myself will not get enough moisture from it.
 


✨ PERSONAL OPINION (on dry/dehydrate acne-prone skin)

I went through a little breakout phase and I was testing a new sunscreen alongside this ampoule (while the rest of my routine was consistent with what I previously used), so I had to stop testing both to figure out which one was the cause of my skin concerns (also reason why I’m turning this review in a bit late). Happy to report it was not this product. That being said, here’s my opinion on the Common Labs Vitamin E ampoule.

* PROS:
- It did calm my redness and breakouts when I stopped using the SPF that was upsetting my skin;.
 

I wouldn’t repurchase this for myself, but I’d suggest it to oily skin friends.

What I look for in a cleansing oil or balm is that it removes my makeup effectively without a greasy overlay after rinsing it off… Well, this failed at both.
It removed face makeup decently but failed at removing colorful eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara (all NOT waterproof) and when I washed it off, it didn’t properly emulsify aka… it left a thick buttery-feeling oil layer over my skin. 
Granted, I do double cleanse, but it’s still not the feeling I’m looking for in this kind of product.
It also smells so strongly and the scent wasn’t pleasant at all to me. The scent reminds me of a cheap flower-y perfume and I couldn’t stand it.
I only had a mini but even that was hard to go through.
I also think it broke me out very badly. I can’t be sure it was this or the stress I was going through. Most likely a combination.
Wouldn’t recommend at all, especially not for the price it’s sold at.

I unfortunately had quite a poor experience with this product, but at least it didn’t break me out…. I think?

Up top on the list is a drying alcohol and you can SMELL it! My dry and dehydrated skin couldn’t handle the tight feeling this product left on my skin.
In order to get the benefits of the chemical exfoliants and enzymes in this product you should use it consistently and I couldn’t manage due to the high alcohol concentration, so to me, it brought no results other than making my skin squeaky clean.

This type of product has existed in K beauty for so long, so it’s nothing new on the market, in case you want to try it. This is just overpriced for what it is. (I got mine in a Cult Beauty Edit, I wouldn’t have purchased otherwise)

Also, not sure anyone pointed this out as I haven’t read reviews yet, but I am sure more competent and expert people have said this already…
The marketing of this product (right from Huda’s voice) would want you to think that those bits that form while you’re rubbing the product in are your dead skin cells. Well, they’re not. The second ingredient is cellulose which reacts with the oil on your skin (hence why sometimes more bits form while rubbing and other times less do).
Very deceiving marketing from the brand.

This product combines the gentle physical exfoliation of the cellulose particles that form on your skin to the chemical exfoliants and enzymes. If you’ve never tried a product like this, I would suggest it (maybe from a korean brand that will be surely less expensive) just for the experience and novelty of it.
