Unpopular opinion but fragrance really isn’t the devil that people claim it to be in skincare 👀 Some of my favourite products are fragranced, is it a dealbreaker to you if a product isn’t fragrance-free? I know some people have allergies or extremely sensitive skin, but for the average skincare user I really don’t know if it’s the worst ingredient out there like people act it is.

One critique is the packaging. It is STUNNING, but the texture of this serum quite thick and a dropper is less effective than a pump would be. The neck is quite small and the product clings to the side of the dropper, so it can get a bit messy if you’re careless with closing the serum. Overall, not a huge deal.

This is SUCH an incredible product, I’m blown away. I have oily skin and a lot of the time sunscreen makes me look and feel a bit ~too~ glowy, instead I look greasy. This feels so incredibly soft on the skin and it’s actually quite a thick serum. It does an excellent job at mattefying the skin without drying it out. Because I’m oily, the mattefying effect balances out my skin to a normal, just-cleansed feel. My face literally feels silky after using this!

This is definitely a bit if a splurge! Although it’s pricey, it’s lasted me forever. I still recommend, plus Paula’s Choice has amazing sales year-round!

This makes my skin feel AMAZING. It’s a liquid that applies like toner. I use my fingers and rub it gently into the skin because I don’t want to waste any product on cotton pads. It truly does minimize the looks of pores and dries silky smooth with a bit of shine. Scentless as well!

Not a single thing! I truly think this is the perfect SPF for oily skin, but may not be hydrating enough for dry skin.

This SPF is one that I reach for all the time! I love the aesthetic packaging and pump. The formula blends so easily, dries quickly with no stickiness, is unscented, and doesn’t leave a white cast on me. I didn’t experience pilling or eye irritation either!

What shocked me was how oily-skin friendly this is! ❤️ Though the consistency isn’t as viscous as some of my other favourite sunscreens, it feels just as lightweight. It’s the FIRST SPF I’ve tried that left a natural, semi-matte feeling on the skin while still giving a slight glow. I love this so much and will definitely add this to my sunscreen rotation.

The glass bottle is absolutely gorgeous and I’m in love with the aesthetic, but the top WON’T stay on no matter how tight I screw it…so the potential for mess is astronomical. I think I just got a bad bottle :( But it’s truly so beautiful, it looks like an emerald!

This ampoule contains Hyaluronic acid and Artichoke, Fig, and Centella Asiatica extract. The ingredients are formulated to maximizing calming and soothing prosperities, which is perfect for those with sensitive skin! 

I really enjoy the texture of this ampoule, it feels very lightweight and “slippery” on the skin. There is no scent and it dries down decently without leaving me feeling sticky at all. In my opinion, it does feel soothing but I think for the price you can find equally if not better skin-calming products on the market.

If you have dry skin, this may not provide you with enough hydration, especially not in the winter.

⭐️ SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule ($24.59 CAD, 100 ml)

I’ve tried one of their ampoules (Poremizing) earlier this year and wasn’t blown away with it, however, as everyone assured me the Centella Asiatica one is much better! Made with 100% Centella Asiatica Extract, this ampoule works to soothe and replenish your skin. It does wonders to calm inflammation and it leaves a very smooth, almost silky finish to the skin.

So far there’s no scent and in terms of texture, it’s very viscous. Overall, I really do enjoy this one!
