Dear, Klairs Supports Sustainability: The Near & Dear, Klairs Project.✨

Since the establishment of Dear Klairs, we have been passionate about sustainability, being cruelty free and vegan friendly. We’ve consistently voiced our opposition to animal testing, especially in countries where animal testing is still being done.

As a result, last year, Klairs was recognized as the first and second vegan cosmetics brand by the Korea Vegan Certification Institute for the first time in Korea.  Moreover, most of Klairs products have been registered in the UK Vegan Society and have been approved by PETA. Klairs has grown into a brand that exports to 40 countries around the world. We have won 81 awards domestically and internationally. Last year, we opened our first flagship store, Klairs Seoul. 


In our efforts to spread awareness about animal cruelty and sustainability, we started the Near & Dear Klairs project. The goal of the project is to partner with eco-friendly, zero-waste, and vegan friendly F&B brands in Korea, and together, we want to empower and encourage people to practice sustainability. 

The Near & Dear Klairs project also supports our partner F&B brands by giving a set of Klairs Daily Comfort Hand Cream and Hand Wash. So far, we have partnered with a total of eight brands in 25 locations. 
We also partnered with the Near & Dear partners for a giveaway. Customers who visited the partners’ stores were encouraged to take a photo there  and upload on their social media for a chance to win Klairs products.
We are planning to expand our project to the U.S., Philippines, Singapore and other countries. Klairs believes that small changes can make a big impact in the world, and we promise to do everything we can to prioritize sustainability.

The Daily Comfort Hand Cream is an unscented Hand care cream to keep your hands moisturized all throughout the day. It nourishes the hands by absorbing quickly and without leaving any stickiness. The Daily Comfort Hand Wash is an unscented Hand wash to sanitize your hands while keeping it moisturized. It is a gel texture hand wash made with natural scrubs to mildly exfoliate while keeping your hands clean and healthy. Comes in large bottle and a convenient pump to place in washrooms.

Introducing the Near & Dear, Klairs Project

At Dear, Klairs, we prioritize developing essential and functional skincare products over following skincare trends. Because of this, we also focus on upgrading our existing products over launching new ones. With this purpose, we renewed three products in the Rich Moist Soothing Line, a skincare line designed to provide deep moisturization and soothe skin by considering the optimal oil and water ratio in the products. 


[Rich Moist Soothing Cream]

With an 80% repurchase rate, the Rich Moist Soothing Cream is infused with skin-soothing and calming ingredients like yeast-derived Beta Glucan which fortifies the skin’s natural moisture barrier. We upgraded our steady seller, The Rich Moist soothing cream, from 60ml to 80ml. We also changed the packaging by upgrading to screw-type caps for convenience and an aluminum barrier laminate exterior, which possesses the best barrier properties and preserves products from light, oxygen, and moisture. Furthermore, we reduced the amount of essential oils in our upgraded formula. 


[Rich Moist Soothing Serum]

The Rich Moist Soothing Serum is a hydrating serum that lowers the surface temperature while providing deep moisturization to calm and cool the skin. We upgraded the formula by removing fragrance essential oils. The serum also helps to replenish the skin’s moisture level and give it a smooth and radiant glow. 



[Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser]

The Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser contains amino acid, the main component of protein, instead of chemical detergent (SLS). It is packed with moisturizing and skin-soothing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramide 3, tea tree leaf oil and houttuynia cordata extract. We upgraded the product by removing vinyl packaging and applying FSC-certified eco-friendly factors.

Dear, Klairs is always prepared to listen to our customers. We value their skincare concerns and suggestions and strive to be a brand that is always learning and growing.

Other than the Rich Moist Soothing Line, we also upgraded the Supple Preparation Unscented Toner and the Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil. 

*Supple Preparation Unscented Toner: 
Many customers who used the Dear, Klairs best-selling Supple Preparation Facial Toner said that they were sensitive to the natural essential oils in the product. So We listened to their concerns and removed fragrance essential oils in the formula and launched the unscented version of the original Supple Preparation toner. Since then, the Supple Preparation Unscented Toner has also become a best-seller and is expected to surpass over 1 million bottles in sales this year. 

*Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil: 
The thick consistency of the ‘Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil’ helps to deep cleanse your pores to remove blackheads. It is a favorite among customers with dry skin because it leaves a hydrating finish even after cleansing.There were many requests from customers with oily to combination skin who prefer a fresh finish for “a product that provides a faster cleanse.” So in September of 2020, we released a daily gentle ‘Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil’ that has a lighter finish and can be used by customers sensitive to essential oils and fragrance.
Customers can now use cleansing oil by choosing a product that suits their skin type and cleansing preferences.

Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Line Renewed

Thanks to the love from customers all around the world, the first 2 million-seller was born. Our highly loved best sellers Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner and the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop have both surpassed 2 MILLION bottles in 2021! Both products have been exported to 40 countries around the world and have high repurchase rates in major domestic and foreign distribution channels.🎉🎉🎉
