Skincare isnt working

Hi, has anyone here experienced worsen dullness right after applying skincare? Usually it would be the other way around but recently my sister told me something shocking and even if i try to deny it, its true. She said my skin looked burnt, oily ,lifeless and became more dull every time after I applied my skincare. But when I skipped skincare for a day or two, my skin was not looking burnt. Its not glowy either, it was back to normal. What's wrong with my skincare? They are not expired yet..my skin isnt irritated but becomes more dull. Can somebody possibly explain if you have experi3nced this before too and how to fix it?

Fragrance and its significance.

Well I'm sure most of us love the soothing smell of flowers or fruits or even herbs. And 100% would agree they like smelling nice. [Long post warning] But fragrance itself is quite harmful for babies and there's a study that investigates the effect of prolong exposure to fragrances. I just can't fathom how skincare, even those needed to apply to sensitive places ,and even places further from our smell range needs to be fragranted ( if the word exist). Like why do you need eye cream or even lip products to have fragrance? It just adds a nasty note to the taste(lipbalm) and 99% of the time our nose or anybody else's noses would not be able to detect the smell(eye cream or mositurizer) Besides a possibility to be an irritant to sensitive skin, it is unacceptable for skincare to include these irritants unless they pose great benefits in them. Soothing is a feeling..but having a fragrant skin product just isn't it. Exclusion for products with natural smell due to using natural ingredients like mugwort or orange..but honestly cherry or strawberry doesn't smell that strong..peaches also don't smell that strong. Yes I get that sometimes it is added to even out some foul smelling smell from other ingredients..but is it worth it for the wellbeing of our skin and lungs and liver? What's your take on fragrances? If you enjoy a fragrance free product, tag them too.

Picky sort of have been the centre to discuss skincare issues but since the recent giveaway,I've noticed we can also share our haircare routines. So the question is : what kind of oils or serum are you using for your oiling routine/haircare routine? Would you swear by them? Thanks for sharing!!

Trying Out Skintific

Recently bought Skintific,out of sudden urge but also because I have set my eyes on it ever since bumping into it in picky. I also bought it because I wanted to try it myself, since I never had breakout this worse since I was born, probably because I was trying exfoliants daily, though it said it was a "gentle" , "daily" product Didnt know what was wrong, maybe I was too excited , or maybe i mixed the wrong product or maybe I missed a few stressed-skin signal...I dont know..but I'm sure it has something to do with my skin barrier. Hence trying out Skintific since it boasts its ceramide line. Wish me for better skin! If you have tried these guys before, what's your opinion about them? Are they worth the hype?
