I love its texture!! It feels very light but hydratating at the same time! Also, it smells amazing.

bad

I only wish it had a different packaging. I don’t like having to use my fingers to take the product.

I absolutly LOVE how this Hydro Gel Cream makes my skin look and feel! I use it day and night during winter but only as a night cream during warmer weather. This cream is thick but absorbs quickly, leaving my face plump and glazed! My pores become less noticable and my skin looks so smooth.

bad

My only complaint is that it doesn’t come with a spatula.

This cream is soothing, hydrating and firming. It's good for people with dry and sensitive skin and for people with oily but dehydrated skin. The main ingredients are: Artemisia, an antioxidant and rich in Vitamin E that helps with acne and eczema. Squalane, which provides deep hydration and protection. This is the best hydrating gel cream I have ever used! • The texture looks thick, but it's very light-weight, perfect for my combination skin! • It leaves my skin very hydrated and radiant. • The cream doesn't feel thick on my face and blends well with my other products.

The Artemisia Squalane Hydra Gel Cream was great for my combination skin type. I think this cream is safe for all skin types even sensitive skin because the main ingredients are Artemisia and Vegan squalane. Artemisia is a herb that is a powerful anti-oxidant and helps with anti-inflammatory. Vegan squalane helps with clogged pores. I liked the texture of the cream because it is a gel texture, it applies to skin very lightly and softly. The cream is very hydrating and soothing on the skin. I also liked how it was fragrance-free so there isn't a deep scent. I also felt my skin glowing after a few uses of it. I like to apply this cream both on my morning and nighttime skincare routine. The cream can also be applied as a sleeping mask when you apply a thick layer of it before sleeping. This is great to use with the Artemisia Rice Essence Toner.💚👍🏻

There is nothing bad to say about this product!

I got this as part of PICKY review giveaway. My skin gets really dry in the winter especially with the heater on. I added this moisture to my morning rountine and my skin has been feeling really soft and smooth! Plus, it seems great!

I tried it for two weeks, so far, I have not had any bad reaction to it.

April Skin Artemisia Squalane Hydra Gel Cream ($28) is the latest craze with a few YouTubers who wanted a glazed Donut Complexion. This clean, fragrance-free cream has a weightless watery gel-like texture that moisturized with infused Squalane deprived from Spanish Olives. Combing the benefits of that with Korean Artemisia--you get a glossy, soothing, hydrating and thirst-quenching cream for dry, irritated & sensitive skin types. 🫒Ideally for: Hydration & protection. Soothing & gentle. Balances the pH level Maintains healthy glow Anti-inflammatory Retains moisture Promotes collagen Reduces oil/unclogs pores Revives dull, tired skin Full of antioxidants Skin brightening 🫒Did you know? Eating olives improves the appearance of wrinkles by 20% since they contain oleic acid, which keeps skin soft and healthy. In addition, olives contain vitamin E, an excellent antioxidant for skin health. 🫒My Experience: This is one moisturizing cream! It absorbs so quickly into my skin, hydrating within seconds. I like to use it before bed, so I can wake up to a soft, supple texture. This cream has a texture to it that makes me want to say "oily" but claiming such would be a lie. It's not "sticky" or "greasy," but really moisturizing to the extent it stays on the face for a while. My pores didn't clog either, which is one of my main concerns considering my pores are very enlarged. It just produces well moisturized & nourishing skin with nothing to compromise it. ✅What I really loved about this cream was how I could switch between brands back & forth without jeopardizing results. I found that on days that I switch, I don't need a picker-upper to get it working again. (Like a mist or primer) It just works the day I apply, which is very important for my experimental lifestyle! Lol

bad

❌The only negative I could think of would be people not agreeing with the creamy barrier it leaves after application. It's not "greasy" or "oily" but something almost similar. Tolerable but definitely noticeable on the surface of your face. I personally love barrier rich creams but I know certain people are cats to stickiness. Lol

Though it’s called a gel cream, it’s on the thicker side without being super heavy on my combo skin. So I think dry skin will really enjoy this too. And I believe it’s possible this is responsible for getting my skin through the last few weeks of winter. I was struggling with my tret treated skin and usual dryness, and winter kept draggingggg. Used this for a few nights and my usual dryness was gone ✨ Fragrance free, cruelty free, vegan, and just overall well formulated product id totally recommend

bad

My only con? If I used too much I would notice some breakouts (though this is a common thing for me when I apply too much of just about anything so take with a grain of salt perhaps). So I had to walk a fine line of how much I applied on the nights I use it - overapplication is simply a no for my breakout prone skin type.

Artemisia Squalane Hydra Gel Cream - Gel Creams are my new fav! I didn’t even know those were a thing and now I’ve used so many and just love them (is there one for the entire body…?). This one is so good you guys! It feels really cooling and hydrating and I feel like this is amazing for combination skin like mine. I don’t get too oily, nor too dry when wearing this; it’s absolutely perfect under makeup or even as a night cream though I do prefer it in the day time and like to use a heavier cream in the night. Although this cream is thick, it’s quite light and absorbs completely almost instantly. There’s also no fragrance and I love the beautiful tub it comes in!

Artemisia Squalane Hydra Gel Cream has an absolutely gorgeous and weightless watery gel texture. It contains 3% vegan squalane and 80% Artemisia extract. A perfect moisturizer for oily skin or combo-normal skin for summer. You’ll dislike it if your skin is dry - though it’s very hydrating, it’s just not emollient enough. The cream feels like almost another layer of gel-like serum. No dewy finish like some other moisturizing gels, it doesn’t bother at all once absorbed.

bad

I haven’t experienced anything bad while using it.

The Artemisia Squalane gel cream is an amazing moisturizer! This lightweight texture and the discreet floral scent is pleasing! As seen in the picture, the texture is gel type, it feels a bit cooling and it leaves a dewy (but not shiny) finish on the skin. It's perfectly balancing the hydration and moisture content in my skin, and my skin is less oily through the day. I'd use it later in the summertime, when the weather would be warmer, since I get oilier through the day.

bad

I'd love this if it helped with redness, but unfortunately it didn't. The products with mugwort are my last resort against the redness, but not this one. Used together with the Rice toner above was too much for my skin, I felt my face is suffocating. The jar packaging didn't come with a spatula, that's very unhygienic.

This gel cream has an amazing consistency that just sinks into your skin. It is light but still pretty moisturizing. The ingredients are also fantastic for aging skin and damaged skin barriers. This is a fragrance-free product though there is a slight scent from the artemisia, but the scent dissipates very quickly after.

bad

The only bad thing about the product is that it does not come with a spatula to scoop out the cream. Other than that the packaging is nice and sleek and the actual cream is a lovely moisturizer.

As a person with rosacea prone skin, I would say to have some faith while trying it out. Texture? Refreshingly lightweight, watery fit gel cream. Does Not leave any type of film once it dries. A nice very pale green color. Scent? Completely free of artificial fragrances, even essential oils. But i would describe it as a clean scent, so happy i found a good moisturizer that doesn't have an overwhelming scent.

This product claims to provide lasting hydration and soothe the skin. The texture is light and perfect consistency as a day cream. It is formulated with 80% of artemisia vulgaris extract along with squalane and rice bran extract. As I mentioned, I can't detect much scent which is a great deal for me. A lot of gel creams (I have tried) has slight plastic/chemical like scent I can't seem to tolerate but this one...I can barely detect any scent.  I tried this cream for few weeks as a day cream and it has been working out pretty well. It hydrating and has matte finish. It can be slightly drying if I don't layer proper amount of hydrating serums but as a day cream it's lovely! It absorbs nicely without any tacky finish. I didn't notice much difference as far as soothing effect but it's a great day cream and would be a perfect addition during summer/warm weather skincare routine.

I would love to see this product in a tube!

My skin and I are in absolute LOVE with Aprilskin’s Artemisia Squalane Hydra Gel Cream: WHAT IS IT: • Clean, fragrance-free formula with a weightless watery gel texture, this moisturizer is infused with vegan squalane derived from Spanish olives and artemisia extract grown on the lush soils of Korea. It hydrates, soothes and quenches dry, irritated and sensitive skin. • The perfect crossover of Mediterranean's finest fruit and Asia's most precious herb. WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL: • 3% Vegan Squalane: Carefully stabilized squalane, combined with artemisia, this moisturizer makes a perfect combination that delivers outstanding hydration and protection, as well as soothing effects to your skin. • Low pH formula: This ultra gentle, yet effective moisturizer works to reveal smoother and more hydrated skin with each use. With a low pH value of 5.5, it also balances your skin’s pH level and maintains the healthy, radiant glow. • 80% Artemisia extract: Artemisia's anti-inflammatory and soothing properties help manage skin conditions such as irriation and eczema, while squalane coats the surface of the skin to retain moisture as well as to promote collagen production for firmer, plumper skin. FOR WHO: • Dry, sensitized skin • Oily but dehydrated skin with clogged pores • Tired and dull skin BENEFITS: • soothing • hydrating • firming MY THOUGHTS: love that it’s fragrance-free, super hydrating, incredibly lightweight and provides so much soothing comfort to my dry skin, sensitive and easily irritated skin!! This cream contains 80% Artemisia Extract (mugwort) which has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antioxidant properties. Mugwort is a medicinal ingredient rich in vitamin E and polyphenols that has been a part of Korean medicine and culture for centuries. This cream also contains a high concentration of squalane which serves as a light emollient moisturizing ingredient and 7 different types of hyaluronic acid which is a humectant that helps the skin hold onto water. The cream also contains allantoin, rice brain extract, the salt form of licorice, and niacinamide. This is an AMAZING cream especially for fussy, dry, dehydrated prone sensitive skin; like mine! This cream along with the ARTEMISIA RICE TONER (that I reviewed earlier) has kept my skin hydrated, super soft, calms down any redness I may have, is super soothing on my dry skin and helps my mature skin age well. This could be used year round morning and evening, for all skin types!! If you have dryer skin like mine you can apply it a little thicker at night like a sleeping mask; I like to do this 3x a week and I awake to super soft, smooth, hydrated and glowing skin!! I love this moisturizer and toner so much I already purchased my second set!!

my oily skin loves this cream as it has a 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘨𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. on the other hand, my sister has drier skin and found it to be too light. this moisturizer includes 𝟑% 𝐯𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 and 𝟖𝟎% 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 to hydrate and soothe the skin as well as to promote collagen production for firmer, plumper skin. it absorbed easily for me and didn't leave my skin feeling tacky.

✨Benefits✨ * With a weightless watery gel texture, this moisturizer is infused with vegan squalane derived from Spanish olives and Artemisia extract grown on the lush soils of Korea. It hydrates, soothes, and quenches dry, irritated and sensitive skin * Who needs it: dry and sensitized skin, oily but dehydrated skin with clogged pores, tired and dull skin 💧Ingredient callouts💧 •3% vegan squalane: carefully stabilized squalane delivers outstanding hydration and protection, as well as soothing effects to the skin. It coats the surface of the skin to retain moisture as well as to promote collagen production for firmer, plumper skin •80% Artemesia extract: anti-inflammatory and soothing properties help manage skin conditions such as irritation and eczema ☀️Product Safety☀️ •Clean, fragrance free formula •Low pH formula ____________________________________________ This is the perfect nighttime moistuizer for oily skin. It leaves behind an extremely dewy finish so I never used it in my morning routine. It feels lightweight and soft, like a water cream. No annoying fragrance and it never clogged my pores or caused me to break out. I would layer all my wet serums on top of each other then use this moisturizer last to let everything slowly soak into my skin as I sleeped. I think oily skin types would enjoy this in their nighttime routine while dry skin types might enjoy this in their morning routine. I wouldn’t say that the mugwort relieved any redness, but this moisturizer is great for sensitive skin or a compromised skin barrier. Combined with the toner, my skin was never dry using this combo. I only started noticing dry patches when I ran out of this, so I know that this moisturizer is effective! I enjoyed the packaging as it felt heavy and luxurious. I didnt mind that there was no spatula since clean fingers do the trick, plus spatulas arent environmentally friendly.

bad

A bit pricey but I would repurchase this again when my budget allows me to 😍

✅ Has an extremely light, water-gel texture. This is such a nice texture since it easily absorbs into the skin. ✅ No fragrance. This is a definite plus in my book since I can’t deal with strong fragrances. ✅ Non-greasy or sticky to the touch. This is another important factor for me since I prefer products that do not seem tacky to the touch. ✅ Has a cooling sensation when applied to the skin. Upon application to the skin, I noticed that it had a cooling sensation that gives out that soothing effect. It doesn’t last long, but it’s quite pleasant to experience.

bad

❌ Not occlusive enough during winter. I have oily/dehydrated skin during winter months. I was worried already when I received this product since it didn’t seem heavy enough. I was right. It wasn’t. It left me feeling tight and dry after a couple hours, which resulted to my face producing more oil than usual. When I was using this, I had to make sure that I had another moisturizer or a mask on top of it. ❌ It absorbs so well that it feels like there is nothing on the face afterwards. It didn’t feel like there is a layer of moisturizer sealing in everything. ❌ This product also broke me out even after no problem came out of patch testing. I thought it was just hormonal issues, but after I stopped using the product, my skin cleared up. I tried using it again at a later time to see if I would get the same result. I did. I most likely will use this product as a hand cream instead during summer months.

Really enjoyed the texture of this gel cream. It applied and layered really well with the rest of my skincare routine. I used this mostly in the AM and it provided a lot of hydration but didn’t feel sticky after a few hours. There’s a very faint scent to this - probably from the olive-derived squalane.

bad

The scent might be a little off putting to some but its very subtle and doesn’t linger.

Saved this one for warmer summer months and it's finally time to break this out again! Leaves my skin seriously velvety and is ultra light but really hydrating.. Still did a nice job in colder Winter months but definitely had to have other things layered on top of it so it's really best I think daring more humid hot months or if you have normal to oily skin this one could be great for you as my dry skin type it's a bit more of a seasonal item for me😜

bad

Again, not really bad as it just suits my dry skin type for more humid hot months when I don't need a ton of layers or thicker creams and balms to keep hydration in.

I was given this product together with the toner from the same line and i’ve been using it since then because it is so gentle on my sensitive and dry skin and I can really see the results hydrating wise and soothing wise because it’s so light it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy after applying! I love it 😭🖤 My favourite line so far from Aprilskin other than the Calendula line! this is my first pick and the calendula line would be my second from Aprilskin!😄💕✨ Highly recommend for people with dry and sensitive skin!

this product was really gentle on my skin I don’t really have anything I dislike about it other than I wished they had a bigger version so I can use it for an even longer time! 😄
