Dry/Resilient

Krave Beauty's Kale-Lalu-yAHA cleanser is smooth and light in texture, but rapidly absorbing. It creates a sharp or burning sensation, which is not painful or unpleasant, but like that first tingling sensation of the crisp Arctic air touching your face as you step outside during the dead of winter without the fear of frostbite; like facial yoga for improved circulation without a thirty minute workout.
Its post-application effects may not be Holy Grail reaching, but the immediate impression was that my skin's absorption of the toner and essence treatments was enhanced. Technically this is also my impression on most exfoliation nights, but it felt like I had the benefits of exfoliation without experiencing any dehydration or tightness/roughness. This is generally considered a good thing and I appreciate the feeling of clear skin without the roughness of dehydrated epidermis.
Will this be part of the evening routine or weekly rotation? Yes, for the next month at least. Convenience is worth its weight in Kale-Lalu-yAHA. The ease of application and short time commitment for obtaining a gentle exfoliation offsets the high cost of the product, which is quite reasonable when compared to many of Shopper's skincare products.
To like and appreciate are early steps towards love so maybe this relationship will blossom after a few months.
Is it a miracle maker? No, but I also do not expect or particularly like miracles. I want products that combine traditional knowledge and experience with science and chemistry that enhance and support my skin's natural processes. I don't want magic because that usually involves a ton of weird chemicals that I prefer to keep away from me and certain do not want absorbing into my face. The Kale-Lalu-yAHA finds an inclusion of kale into my life that does not involve me chewing or juicing, so that is a win on every front.

A good exfoliator to some
Too strong for my sensitive skin. I broke out with this. Can’t handle strong glycolic acid so I used this on my elbows instead.

🌼key ingredients: Sugar cane-derived glycolic acid, a type of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), with a concentration of 5.25%. A gentle skin resurfacing exfoliant that targets discoloration, sun damage, fine lines, and clogged pores by removing dead skin cells & increasing your skin’s cellular turnover. Also has Kale, Spinach, and Parsley as antioxidants. Aloe, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), & Sodium Hyaluronate as humectants and Allantoin for soothing. ph 3.5-4
🌼texture/formulation: Clear, green liquid that has a watery consistency. It’s absorbed quickly & leaves my face feeling comfortably moist, without a dry matte texture nor a discernibly sticky or tacky film.
🌼application: I use it at night 1-2x a week. (Others can use it everynight, pay attention to your skin's resiliency, every skin is unique) I apply this as the first step in my routine after cleansing. My preferred method is to pour some onto a cotton pad & gently swipe across my face. Leave it on for about 3-5mins then I continue with the rest of my routine. Don't forget spf the next day!
🌼coin: $25 for a 200ml bottle which is not bad! However, this brand is not that accessible in our country so I got this for $32, a bit up there imo
🌼verdict: I’ve got to admit – I had high hopes for this product, esp after reading raving reviews of it, but I gotta say, I wasn't blown away. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy using this toner bec it's gentle enough for my skin and it was able to do what an AHA was supposed to do but no "wow" factor for me. It’s a pleasant-enough product to keep using as a supplement to my routine, but I’m undecided if I’ll repurchase. Maybe bec I can see more significant results when using my BHA? Yes I think so. Overall, still a good product but my doors are still open for other AHAs to try (at a cheaper price point) I'll give this a 4/5✨
Pricey for what it does

Gentle exfoliator that’s unscented.
Unfortunately it was too gentle so I had zero results with this product. After application, there was a very mild stinging sensation.

💬Product claims:
“A gentle yet effective exfoliator that smooths out texture and fades discoloration to reveal healthier skin. Kale-Lalu-yAHA is powered by AHAs that buff away excess dead skin cells and unclog pores so skin can breathe easier.”
Key ingredients : ( this product is packed full of antioxdiants)
-Aloe leaf water
- glycolic acid
- spinach leaf extract
- parsely extract
- green apple extract 🍏
- kale extract
Texture :
Watery , lightweight , hydrating
How i used it :
As a exfoliant , right before i tone (i use it every night )
My personal experience:
This is an effective exfoliant , it’s very good at getting rid of dead skin build up. It contains 5.25% aha which is enough to effectively remove dead skin build up and not too a high percentage that it will cause irritation to the skin. It’s at the right PH level too for the glycolic acid to work , contains some very good anti-oxidants as well . It’s so good for skin texture and made my skin smoother and softer.
It has no fragrance/perfume/essentials oil or common irritants ( this is the same for all of krave beauty’s products ) which is great !
This is not really a bad thing but it was what i noticed when using it. It did sting my skin a little but it happens with most AHA’s. It didn’t cause any bad reaction so i know it’s not hurting my skin but the AHA’s working. The stinging also went away with a minute ( It stated it’s normal on the website I think ).
Would i recommend this product ?
Yes definitely ! It is very effective at exfoliating my skin without irritation. I would recommend you use it once / twice / thrice a week only( which is the recommended number of times to use it as stated on it’s website) unless you have very matured skin because over exfoliating the skin is not good.
Repurchase ?
Yes ! This bottle lasted my for many months so even though it’s not the cheapest exfoliant i would still consider repurchasing. Overall i prefer bha’s because i have oily skin but this is definitely good at controlling dead skin build up which is also good at preventing acne ! Just use it carefully if you have sensitive skin. I try to use it on wet skin and that way it doesn’t sting my face. As my skin got used to the product , it started to sting less as well.

Recently, I decided I wanted to up my skincare game and learned about the necessities of having a great skin exfoliant. I did a lot of research and found this one.... so I had to give it a try. First off, I have sensitive, very dry, and reactive skin. I needed a product that had zero fragrance, essential oils, or anything that could trigger a reaction. The first time I used this product I noticed an immediate difference. I normally wake up with dry patchy skin in the morning but after using this product the night before I woke up with a glow! I could not believe how hydrated and glowy my skin looked. I have now used this product 2x a week for about two weeks and absolutely love it!! It also definitely helps with any breakouts, it help’s to heal any current pimples..... Overall I have noticed a glowy effect and immense amount of hydration that my skin was lacking. I highly recommend and promise your skin will thank you!!!!!
Absolutely nothing!!!!!!

This might be my favorite exfoliant ever. Its super gentle with 5.25% glycolic acid but still very effective.
It has a very lightweight feel and doesn’t sting!
It also includes antioxidant ingredients like kale and spinach!
It contains hydrating ingredients such as aloe and hyaluronic acid!
With the antioxidant and hydrating ingredients, there is much less risk of irritation.
Glycolic acid could be too strong for some people so make sure to patch test
Increases sunburn potential so wear your sunscreen!!
