{ THE ORDINARY } Buffet + Copper Peptides 1%
💙 Claims:
Formulated from comprehensive technologies to target multiple signs of aging. A serum targeted towards collagen synthesis, fibroblast production, skin immune function and anti inflammatory responses (from @sephora’s site).
🔑 Ingredients
• Copper Peptides
• Matrixyl
• Argirelox
💙 My Experience
• Applies on my skin smoothly and the viscosity is just perfect for a serum. There is a slip to it but not greasy. Slight tackiness but it gets easily absorbed by my skin.
• Very gentle, doesn’t cause any irritation and I would even spread a little bit around my eye area. I do like to experiment.
• I use this before my other serums as instructed on the website. No pilling experienced after and layers well with my other products.
• Alternate use between days of Vit C and other actives accdg to the site.
• Immediate use gives my skin a hydration boost and seem to improve my skin’s elasticity and my skin is “glowy” after use.
• I believe that long term use is needed to visibly observe full anti aging benefits.
• Please note that this has a faint “vinegar” scent to it but I honestly don’t mind bc it dissipates quickly.
• I am definitely keeping this in my routine. I’m on my 2nd bottle now. My husband has been using this for a year and I have noticed improvement on his skin’s overall texture that’s why I initially decided to try it! 🥰💙
• We used to buy @theordinary products from @deciem site but so glad that @sephora carries them now.

🦋What is it?
The Ordinary Buffet + Copper Peptides 1%
🦋What are the claims?
A multi-peptide serum targeting visible signs of aging while supporting the look of healthier skin. The company highlights:
- copper peptides: boosting collagen, anti-inflammatory
- matrixyl & argirelox: reducing the appearance of wrinkles
🦋 The texture?
A smooth and Somewhat thicker gel-like consistency. It spreads onto the skin easily, a little goes a long way. The formulation is not sticky or tacky in the slightest.
🦋My experience:
From the first use I noticed plumper, bouncier skin. This provides so much hydration for my combination skin that I use this as a hydrating serum too. I use this 2-3 times a week. Always in the evenings on alternate days to retinol or azelaic acid as I tend to use an antioxidant serum (usually vitamin C based) during the day.
I have also noticed that this serum helps with the overall appearance of blemishes. This is in part because I believe it helps my blemishes heal faster, therefore I also have less scarring. I have already ordered a back up and I truly love this serum. 💙
🦋 Thins to consider:
A quick search will show that the use of copper peptides can help to boost hair growth. This has not been the case for me, I haven’t seen any increase in facial hair.
Deciem advise that you do not use this serum with direct acids or strong antioxidants: such as L-AA (L-Ascorbic Acid) and EL-AA (Ethylated Ascorbic Acid), AHAs/BHAs.

It is a good product with great ingredients. It plumps the skin, leaves it hydrated
The colour is very cool
I don't feel much of a difference when using this one compared to the normal Buffet even when the price doubles and therefore I give it 4 stars.

🔅 Copper peptides can boots up collagen production
🔅 Can reduces the appearance of static and dynamic wrinkles
🔅 Reduces inflammation
🔅 Don't use next to a acid in your routine as it can throw off the PH as this product is more unstable (chemical exfoliant, vitamin C)
🔆 Can be used with retinol
🔅 A blend of peptides targeted at anti-aging
🔅 Consider to be more affective in anti-aging vs the Buffet without copper peptides
🔅 8 different peptides found in this product
🔅Cost increase at $28.90 vs the Buffet at $14.80

The texture is not sticky, spreads easily. The blue color is unique. It is perfect for people with anti-aging aspect. The most import detail for me is that it can be used in the same routine with retinol. And it is also advised to use them together. So for me it is a win-win.
For me it is not a problem. But some people might not like the smell. It has a bad odor. But I prefer it, rather than a product full of fragrance. So there is no extra fragrance or smell neutraliser. Which makes it more usefull for sensitive skin.
And it is the product with the highest price tag amoung the “the ordinary” line.

I have oily skin with enlarged pores. I Have been using this product for a short period of time and I saw a difference into my skin after I applied one of my face mask; I realised once is getting dry I don't have anymore the little holes formed into the surface of the mask due to my enlarged pores.
So definitely is doing a great job.
Nothing bad for the moment. Just make sure you apply just a small amount.

- This is a peptide serum with hyaluronic acids and copper. It’s supposed to improve appearance of again and skin elasticity. I didn’t see a huge difference to my skin using this product. Light weight and absorbs quickly.
Not something i would repurchase again as it didn’t make a huge difference to my skin. Also not the most pleasant texture to work with.

I love "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% for a number of reasons. Copper peptides are for collagen synthesis and anti-inflammatory responses.
Matrixyl reduces the look of wrinkles.
ARGIRELOX™: Targets the appearance of appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
This serum is magical in my opinion for dryness . It visibly adds life to my complexion and in theong run it is great for loss of firmness and elasticity.
This is a power packed serum that basically takes care of it all . One of the better anti-aging serums out there. The texture is thinner than gel and absorbs quickly into the skin. I like to alternate this with my actives every other night.
Its a bit costly but its also effective so worth it .
