honestly, the price 💸 i also dont mind the smell, kinda like it actually.
sadly, it burnt me. i think it's way too strong for my sensitive, eczema-prone skin even though it's 5% and lactic acid. ill be looking for gentler options like PHA or mandelic acids.
Worth a try, im not too big on strong AHA serums! I know this one would do the job though! No irritation whatsoever. But be careful and wear SPF!
Don’t think so!
I have a few hard-painful-headless-deep pimples on my cheeks, they're very persistent and won't go away and leave a dark spot on my face. BUT after 3-4 days of application of this serum , these pimples kinda floats to the surface and I press them out once I notice a head appearing (not advisable to pick on pimple but I'm impatient). These pimples existed for weeks until I used this, they're finally gone. However, it doesn't help with blackhead on my nose nor Whitehead on my face nor scars. Only those persistent pimple were down after using this.
Sticky and shiny after application. Doesn't matter coz I'm using at night + aircond.
Its a good gentle chemical exfoliant. I dont experienced any purging fron this product. Highly recommended for those who are starting with chemical exfoliator.
My holy grail ❤️ lactic acid 5% is very safe to use daily, but if you wanna be safe then use it once every 2 or 3 days. It helps refine my skin texture and also brighten my acne spots
Nothing! I love everything about this product! Just for the caution dont apply directly to the skin for any exfoliant. Use toner or essence first as barrier for the skin then you're good to go
The product's exfoliation is really mild, which I like about this. If you want to exfoliate but aren't ready for something strong like Pixi's Glow Tonic or only want surface-level exoliation, this is great for a beginner.
Because it has HA, less is more. It can become milky if you use too much. Make sure to use it on a dry or mostly dry face. Also, just cause its this low doesnt mean you can start using it everyday. I use it every 2nd day after easing into it for a month and leave my nightly Retinol out of the routine (experienced user) and I think its more than enough.
I really like this serum, it's light and my only skin loves it.
I don't have anything bad to say for this product.
Super afforable and wont break the bank if it doesn’t work for you
I think the 5% is TOO gentle for me. This is my first AHA so I went with the lower percentage however I don’t feel like it has done much for me. My main concerns are small bumps along my jaw line and left over pigment from breakouts, I haven’t seen much of a difference a few weeks in
This is a fantistic chemical exfoliator. Its not over drying and leaves you glowing. Plus the proce is great.
Nothibg negatove to say about this.
My skin feels plump and smooth the morning after I use it.
Be careful woth breakouts or compromised skin. They got worse in my case.
It lightend my dark knees
Its so watery and nothing elSe
This 5% 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘥 formulation is a gentle exfoliator that claims to target signs of congestion and uneven skin texture. There’s no strong smell, no greasiness, no irritation, and from my experience so far, this leaves my skin feeling soo soft and smooth! It’s literally a miracle worker for clearing breakouts overnight!
The 10% lactic acid can be a bit strong but the 5% works super gentle!
It's nice for those with very sensitive skin, but for me it's not the best, i still use it though :))) my mom loves It top
I don't use it that often now but i did, and it's just not Something i wanted to hold onto cause it literally did nothing else than give me a Little Glow :)) now i just use it to Finish it
The best exfoliator for dry skin! This helped me a lot with my textured skin and uneven skin tone.
Nothing at all, it's great!
Very gentle on the skin!
Nothing bad about it
It's great! My face has been a mess because of maskne + hormonal acne, I have a lot of redness and old scars. I am in awe with this product. I've used a few times and the results are spectacular. Love it, this has been able to get the job done.
Build your skin tolerance slowly, this is an acid so be careful to not over use + wear spf! I personally have very resilient skin but only use it at night and 2 times a week, as a beginner I feel it's enough.
Really great exfoliate ! I started to exfoliate with this one because my skin was getting really dry with the cold weather. Love the watery texture perfect for layering. It's not tacking and have no smell. I had many dry spots on my face, bizarrely on my T Zone with it was a first for my combinaison skin. And it really helped me get away from it because it exfoliate but also hydrate after that.
Too liquidy, i like my serum to have just a touch of jelly feeling with them because it's easier for me aplicate. These texture make me confuses with how much my skin needed and made me forget if I already but the product.
Can be harsh on skin if used too often
The best chemical exfoliate I have ever used. very good for removing dull skin, black scars. for beginners it is good to use this because the percentage is low. After that, I tried the 10%. it is important to use sunscreen to be effective and good result
Nothing bad this product bcs it really amazing
It as no fragance so its cool and its really exfoliafind after a bit of use
Its really strong you may have too test it before use it on your face
This helps to fade away my acne marks. I can see that my skin get brighter uneven skin tone.
When my skin gets more sensitive and inflamed during my period, I sometimes see redness and irritation such as itchiness on my skin when I use this product.
It's perfect choice for first exfoliator. I like it bc it's gentle, but the result is spectacular after the first use. I use it only every second or third day.
I can't say anything bad about it.
SRP: US$6.50 Size: 30 mL/ 1 oz Period After Opening: 12 months • watery; absorbs quickly; lightweight and nonsticky on skin • has 5% lactic acid; this is a good starter chemical exfoliator • has Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit/Leaf Extract (antioxidant, soothing) and some moisturizing ingredients including glycerin and hyaluronic acid • gentle and mild; I can use this twice to thrice a week on my neck (which is more sensitive than my face) without irritation • doesn’t dry out my skin • did not experience purging • makes skin smoother and look brighter • alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and essential oil-free • solution is in a sturdy glass bottle with a dropper
• some may experience purging • my skin is used to chemical exfoliators and 5% lactic acid seems too mild; this works like a mild exfoliating toner to me; I haven’t tried using it everyday because I don’t want to risk damaging my moisture barrier
It is okay on my skin. My skin is dry after using it but I can use hyaluronic acid to help it.
Nothing nt bad to say.
My first aha exfoliator:) very gentle, easy to use, affordable
Couldnt write much bad things
LIFE CHANGER! Lactic Acid was the first product worked so well on my skin. Though the first few usage sting a little, it was fine after a minute or two. Seen results in a month itself. My tiny bumps on forehead subsided very quickly. Now, 3 months already using this, my forehead is 99% clear from bumps. This might not work as well as it did to me for some of you but it's worth trying. ❤Lightweight, water based, not sticky ❤ Use every 3-4 days only (if sting too much, use lesser quantity/use only once a week/use lesser % of the acid)
It might sting a little but it will subside after a few mins.
-very thin texture -not really a smell -good price point -no stingy feeling, more of a plumping feeling -formulated with Hyaluronic Acid for hydration -leaves skin very glowing, visible minutes after application - better skin apperance on the next day visible
-since it is an AHA you have to double check which ingredients to avoid in the same routine -too drying if used too often
My favorite AHA serum. It's very gentle and hydrating. This 5% solution is very gentle.
Too gentle for others you might want to try the 10%
This is my first acid. I use it twice a week and use the LRP cicaplast baume after só I never really félt anyu burning after only a slight itch. L-o-v-e the price!
That itch was a Little annoying but it was vetted after some Time. Delivery took too long though!
For the first time in using this product it really didn't irritating my skin. Texture oily makes my face glowing and hydrating my skin
No hate to this, taking time in waiting the result
I love this! A greet gentle exfoliant
As with almost any acid, it is going to take some time for your skin to adjust
LOVE this product. Despite how senstive my skin is it loves this product. Hasn’t caused any irritation at all. Leaves my skin feeling so soft and has cleared up all my redness and texture. My joky grail!!
Nothing bad to say!!
This product gave me such a great glow
No bad reactions for me
When I started chemical peeling I chose this one first and did I make the right call! Never did it cause anything other than smooth-like-a-babys-buttcheek skin the morning after. I use glycolic acid now but time to time come back for it. And I do appreciate the price!
Smells weird (doesnt bother me but I notice).
it leaves me a bright skin that I love
Nothing to say against
it gave my skin some hydration when i first used so if u got dehydrated skin this is a good pick. it looks cute too if u got a lot of the ordinary products like me since they all match but thats mainly it 😃
it wasnt a ‘strong’ exfoliater as i hoped it would be since its just 5% and over time it just felt like another hydration serum for me. it kinda smelled weird too 😭 but thats it its worth a try if u want it
I love this acid, I use it every night and my skin Is never been clearer. It's gentle and It never irritate my skin
I love this product! At first my skin reacted a bit badly, with spotting, but after the first few days the skin got used to it and my acne improved in an absurd way! Now I like myself much more. I use it together with Niacinamide!
Always and only the package. I really like the bottle, but sometimes I have trouble opening it!
Best acid product for sensitive skin. It is absorbing rapidly and very good for exfoliating.
The product is rapid sold out
This was my first lactic acid product and I'm quite happy with it. It's definitely very gentle, so it would be perfect for people with sensitive skin. I like that it makes my skin look pretty smooth! I also appreciate that it's very affordable.
I don't really think there's anything negative about it, except maybe it's too gentle for some people.
Leaves my skin feeling baby soft, a little goes a long and and is perfect for my sensitive skin!
It takes a while to sink in and is a little sticky at first. Doesn't do a bunch for my clogged pores, which I know it wouldn't but I was hoping for at least a little bit of a difference in that area
Great product for someone who beggins the exfoliating process! Really liked it.
The Ordinary formulas are minimalist and so, their product may not last long. With product you use on a daily basis i don’t rlly mind but with this one (that i use 2x/week) i end up throwing a lot away...
- works well on my super sensitive dry areas - helped exfoliate my face, thus reducing clogged pores - face feels super smooth and glows when i wake up please only use this at night and WEAR SUNSCREEN!
- very watery consistency, smell might be unpleasant to some (i dont mind it)
This is my first exfoliator back to 2017. So far i did not experienced any purging reaction at all. I do noticed my skin feels moist & smooth. But for tiny bumps i think it’s not doing it’s job really well. Maybe because the percentage is quite low. So far i think this is great for beginners. It is mild & yet suitable also for sensitive skin.
I think because it’s too mild for my skin, so i noticed the tiny bumps does not easily subsides. I can still feels my skin have a bumpy texture at my both jawline.
My first chemical exfoliant
I never used it for some reason.
Holy grail chemical exfoliant for me. I love using it once a week to help treat my skin, especially if I’m having some increased texture or breakouts. It leaves dark spots brighter and my skin smoother, without leaving my skin feeling like I overdid it.
It has a slight, subtle scent, but it doesn’t bother me.
This is more gentle than the glycolic acid toner, so its good for all skin types doesn't irritate the skin and gently exfoliates leaving my skin glowy
Nothing bad to say about this product
This serum is a mild lactic acid superficial peeling formulation. The 5% concentration offers very mild exfoliation and is supported with a purified Tasmanian pepperberry known to reduce signs of inflammation and sensitivity that is often associated with exfoliation. On Deciem's website, they recommend to use the serum once daily. Personally, though, I would recommend using it 2-3 times a week. Since this is an acid product, it is better to slowly build up your skin's tolerance with the acid concentration. I used to have a bit of flakiness around my nose and chin, but after using this product for almost 2 weeks, I noticed how it helped reduce the flakiness and texture on these areas. Results are even visible after 2-3 applications. Thankfully, I never experienced any purging or skin irritations while using the item. Since the serum is more on the watery formula, the skin absorbs it fast and it leaves no stickiness nor tacky feeling which makes it perfect for your night-time routine. Overall, as a first time chemical exfoliant user, this item is a 10/10. ❤️ Plus!! The packaging which is in a frosted small bottle is so cute and aesthetic.
It has a faint smell that i personally dont like.
Reduced hyperpigmenttion ..
Notjing bad on this !!
I love this product! It’s my go-to for the dead skin on my forehead. I’m never left feeling stripped or sensitised, and it’s still so effective!
Nothing! It’s my favourite AHA
My cousin uses this product and I checked the ingredients and tried it. Definitely i should buy the product. It great for sensitive skin but of course 10% can be strong. My skin felt so smooth 😌.
I did not experience any bad effects.
This helped my skin so much! Gentle and non-irratiting. Improved the look of my pores, faded my PIE. Gave my skin an overall healthy, smoother appearance. A staple on my shelf.
Nothing bad to say!!
Mild exfoliation (aha) This product really help reduce dark spots and treat uneven skin texture... Improve fine line too And its also really gentle to beginner..
This product give me purging at first 6 weaks..
This was the first product I tried for chemical exfoliation. It did its job so well and i got no purging or redness. Very gentle on the skin. Great for first timers for chemical exfoliation
No bad experiences at all.
Love everything about this, didnt irritate my skin at all
I dont have anything bad to say about this
Love this. It helps to smoothen my skin and clear my pimple marks.
No bad experience at all
Love this! The 5% is very gentle, and I use this at night for glowing skin the next morning.
I love everything about this product. I would continue to repurchase!
honestly, the price 💸 i also dont mind the smell, kinda like it actually.
sadly, it burnt me. i think it's way too strong for my sensitive, eczema-prone skin even though it's 5% and lactic acid. ill be looking for gentler options like PHA or mandelic acids. update: my skin can actually tolerate AHAs, not sure why this particular product worked badly for me. i won’t be trying it again though.
This has very quickly become a holy grail for me. I've only been using it for less than 3 weeks and I am already seeing a lot of improvement in my dark spots. It's got a nice watery texture, and seems to absorb into my skin quite well. It's also super gentle. I use it twice a week, and I find that it's very effective .Couldn't recommend it more!
I honestly have nothing negative to say about it. It's been working well for me
This is the perfect gentle exfoliant for my sensitive skin. It evens out the texture of my skin and is great to alternate with tretinoin (which also can dehydrate skin). The latice acid is combined with hyaluronic acid which buffers the skin with hydration and whilst gently exfoliating with lactic acid 👌 Great price and lasts a long time as i only use it once a week!
May be too gentle if you’re looking for more extensive exfoliation.
I like acid exfoliation and can use such products during the whole year. I'm new to acid that is why start my journey with this mild Lactic Acid. It is specifically used to threat hyperpigmention, age spots, improve skin complexion. Packages: Nice matt glass bottle with dropper. The brand presented this product in two versions : 5% and 10%. It has water textures and chemical smell, not so strong. 3-4 drops are enough for my face, which makes the consumption super economy. Key ingredients: Lactic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Tasmanian pepperberry. My skin: I have combination to oily skin in summer and combination to dry in Winter. What is more, my skin is really sensitive, irritated and I have acne because of health problems. My experience: You can use this product every day. But I'm trying to avoid of everyday exfoliation. During winter I used it 3 times a week, now only 2. I apply it directly to my skin after cleansing at night. After application, I use Moisturizing toner and gel Moisturizing cream. It stung the first two days of use. One day I decided that I need more than 3 drops and applied the full dropper. After it my face turned red and I had awful experience that day. That is why sometimes less better than more . 🤣 I must admit, I apply it to my neck too. If you have any breakouts you may feel stickiness. Thanks to this product I can see visible results on my skin. New pimples are healing up faster, it didn't cause new breakouts. Skin looks fresh and boost.
You should be patient to see visible results. It takes around one month. And this product good only for beginners.
Does not sting, does not dry out my skin. Seems to be helping with my spots, after continuous use for a couple of weeks in combination with other ordinary products
Nothing comes to mind
Its a mild aha.My first chemical Exfoliatior.
I prefer aha in wash off products more than in serums
It helps my skin turnover ! I love that the texture is light and doesnt have weird scent. Great product !!
Had to keep in dark plave so the colour wont turn yellow.
Really like this product, I used it a lot before but not as much now. My skin was pretty sensitve to strong actives and this was a good way to build up my tolerance so i vould go for stronger products.
I wouldn’t say it made the biggest difference but it help to buld my tolerance for actives/exfoliating products.
The BHA better for me, but It’s a really good AHA.
Use almost half of the bottle..i use it everyday..make my skin better from breakout..my skin not dull anymore
Nothing so far i guess
Great product. It absorbs quickly into the skin.
Honestly I used the whole thing and there is nothing bad I could say
one of my favourites from this brand, i saw amazing results after using it for a few months, it helped with my whitehead and also my skin texture. i love how this is cheap and effective
i felt some tingling sensation, but it only last for a few minutes
A very good and gentle chemical exfoliator ! Definitely helps with my textured skin!!
Its not exactly something bad but since i use it in the morning after my Vitamin C serum, I will peel throughtout the day, bits and pieces here and there ! Since im not seeing anyone rn(bc rona) its absolutely perfect but will probably switch it to my night routine and alternate with my retinol after the pandemic!
Good product just not for me made an impact on others.
Not for me because of the skin type.
First ever chemical exfoliant I've tried and didn't disappoint ! Very gentle but does it's job nicely. Also very hydrating because of the HA . Love the glow after using this ! Texture : non sticky, sink's into the skin very nicely . Scent : Didn't notice any distinct scent in this one . Helped a lot with improving my skin texture and the only reason I'm not repurchasing is because I'll go for a higher percentage of aha now that my skin can handle it . But definitely reccomend ! 10/10
Nothing in particular love this !
