Balmy Lip Products

I can never be without lip balms. I also prefer tinted lip balms over traditional lipsticks. I started with drugstore brands (Burt’s Bees, Vaseline, Chapstick) then jumped to luxury since those were the only options available to me before. Recently, brands across different price ranges have come out with their tinted lip balm versions. It’s my ongoing quest to try as many brands as possible. These are on top of my favorite list: Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm, Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint, Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Tinted Lip Balm, YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Conditioning Lipstick Balm, O'Keeffe's Lip Repair. Addict Lip Glow Lip Balm

Shade 004 Coral is the best performer and the most flattering on my complexion. I typically use four to six tubes a year. I hate that Dior raises price yearly.

My most repurchased lip balm. Hydrating, moisturizing, gives lips a sheer wash of color and a subtle shine, and lasts for hours. Good texture, goes on smooth, not thick, not heavy, not sticky, doesn’t settle into lip lines. Great to use alone or layered with other lip products. The best performer and shade for my complexion is 004 Coral.

Extra Lip Tint - Bare Raspberry

This is more affordable than Dior but a tube lasts only one month! A tube of Dior lasts two to three.

Lovely texture. It’s thin but keeps lips soft, hydrated, and moisturized. It can be used alone or layered over lip stain or lipstick. Bare Pink doesn’t show up on my pigmented lips. Bare Raspberry is the better color for me.

Lip Repair Lip Balm Cherry

Had low expectations but this surprised me with how well it performs. Thick and occlusive but also hydrating and moisturizing.

Affordable and effective! This feels thick and occlusive but is also hydrating and moisturizing. Among all drugstore lip balms I’ve used, this is the one (might be the only one) that I’ll keep on repurchasing.

Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick Balm

Looks like s lipstick but hydrating and moisturizing. Some shades leave a nice, even stain.
