Fig Cleansing Balm
balancedmenagerie
Like so many of you, I have a THING for cleansing balms. They’re fun to use, great at removing makeup, and leave my skin feeling super soft. Plus, it’s just so satisfying to scoop them out of the jar, AMIRIGHT?! 🤣🙌🏻 I’d heard so many great things about this particular balm and I was so excited when I got the chance to review it via the Wishtrend affiliate program. 🤍 CLAIMS: This cleansing balm consists of Fig and Oil Water 7.8% to gently cleanse all impurities from the skin, and help with blackhead care. (Ingredient extracted by Oil Macerating Extraction Method - only by I'm From). It is rich in vitamins and polyphenol which fully hydrates the skin after cleansing. (From the Wishtrend site) ✨ MY EXPERIENCE ✨ 💜 I absolutely love the mild fig scent! I’ve joked that I’m going to save some of this to use during the Holidays because it is giving me major Christmas vibes! 🎄🙌🏻 💦 This was really hydrating to my skin. My face felt really soft and smooth after use. 💜 It removed all of my makeup and regular eye-makeup. However, when I tested it on waterproof eyeliner and mascara it was not quite able to get it all off (honestly the only thing I didn’t love about this balm). 💦 It melted nicely as I rubbed it in and did not leave a residue behind. 💜 This is fragrance-free, cruelty-free, silicon-free and vegan-friendly. 💜 $30 per 100ml.

Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil
balancedmenagerie
[PR/Gifted] Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil. Over the past year, I have really fallen in love with cleansing oils. I have found them to be really effective for removing sunscreen and makeup, and they have quickly become a staple my routine. I recently got the chance to try a new-to-me cleansing oil, Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil, courtesy of Wishtrend. Here are my thoughts… Key Ingredients: 50% Sunflower seed oil - Contains antioxidants and Vitamins A, B, and C which help fight free radicals and combat faster aging. Jojoba Oil: Helps nourish and repair skin with vitamin E. Black Currant Seed: A skin-soothing plant extract that helps repair damaged skin. My Experience: This is a thinner oil, and very gentle to my skin. It effectively removed my sunscreen and makeup. It was effective at removing my regular eye makeup but, unfortunately, it was not able to remove my waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This is not a deal-breaker for me because I only wear waterproof products a few times per week for hot yoga (yes, I am THAT girl who rolls up in hot yoga with full-on makeup…just let me live my life, lol!!) This has no scent and did not leave a residue. Retails for $24/150ml All in all, I really like this for a simple cleansing step. If you are trying to remove heavier makeup, it might not be a great fit but otherwise it is a nice, gentle choice for every day use. Thank you so much to Wishtrend for sending me this in exchange for my honest review.

Gentle Black Facial Cleanser
balancedmenagerie
A couple of weeks ago, I was sent the Klairs Gentle Black Cleanser to review through Go Picky. I am such a fan of Klairs so I was really excited to try this out! 🖤 It consists of Black Complex ingredients - Tuber Melanosporum Extract (Truffle), Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Nigella Sativa Seed Extract, and Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract to enhance hydration and healthiness of the skin. (From their site) ☁️ This cleanser has such an interesting texture! It’s almost like a hybrid of cleansing balm and cream cleanser. It is super thick and soft, and creates a truly luxurious lather. I love how this feels on my face! 💦 This didn’t strip my skin at all. After cleansing, my skin felt soft and hydrated. After I recorded my texture videos, I noticed the backs of my hands were also more hydrated! The little cracks/lines were visibly reduced. 🙌🏻 🤍 Has a low pH and is fragrance free and vegan! Retails for $16/140ml. 🌟 I’d rate this one a 4.5/5. Klairs consistently puts out great products and this one was no exception. Definitely the type of high-quality cleanser that I’d hope for from them and I would absolutely recommend and repurchase. Thank you so much to picky for letting me review this. (I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.)

Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser
balancedmenagerie
[PR/Gifted] Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser When I won the opportunity to try this cleanser via Picky and Rovectin #giveaway, I was so excited because I had just started using Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Calming toner and I was really impressed by the brand. My cleansing routine is pretty consistent: First, I use a cleansing balm or oil to remove my makeup and sunscreen. Then, I use a jelly or cream cleanser as my second step. It is really important to me that my second cleansing product be hydrating rather than drying; I want it to clean that last bit of residue off, but not dry or strip my skin. I’m pretty excited to report that this Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser delivered exactly what I was hoping for. Here is the rundown: Key Features: A gentle, low pH cleanser for all skin types Contains glycerin which absorbs and retains moisture from the air to keep skin toned and hydrated. Sodium Cocoamphoacetate maintains pH levels. Hypoallergenic, cruelty-free and toxin-free. 100% free from parabens, artificial colorants, artificial fragrances, mineral oils and steroids. Slight scent of coconut (comes from natural coconut derivative, not artificial fragrance.) Retails for $17/175ml My Experience: I absolutely love how soft and silky this cleanser is. The softness lingers after I wash it off, and my skin feels so supple and hydrated. This is not stripping to my skin at all. Lathers well! A little bit goes a very long way. I couldn’t really detect the coconut scent at all; to me, it had a very slight soapy smell but almost undetectable, similar to other fragrance-free cleansers. Because it is so soft and hydrating, I think this would make a great cleanser for winter time, when our skin needs that extra level of hydration. Overall, this was so gentle and soothing to my skin. I think if you have sensitive skin you will really like this one. (Thank you so much to Picky and Rovectin for sending me this cleanser to try in exchange for my honest opinions.)

Eggplant Clearing Mild Cleansing Foam
balancedmenagerie
Eggplant Moisturizing Cleansing Foam: - Eggplant Extract treats sensitive skin, while Calendula Flower Extract and Birch Sap moisturize sensitive and damaged skin. - Hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types. Technically a “mild acidic pH cleanser”. - Rich, creamy texture and lathers well; a little goes a long way! - No scent that I can detect. The foamy lather is very moisturizing and rinses off easily. Doesn’t strip skin. - Removed light makeup but not sure if it would remove waterproof makeup. - Retails for around $18/120ml
