good review
I got this because I was looking for a drugstore SPF to try out that didn’t have a white cast. Let’s talk about it’s ingredients first: This is a chemical sunscreen with broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection. It’s primary chemical filters are: avobenzone (2.5%) Homosalate (8%) Octisalate (5%) and Octocrylene (8%) It’s 2nd ingredient is silica which is used in skincare as a formula thickener and to help improve the absorption of other ingredients. Some silica formulations can help absorb oil and swear and improve spreadability as well. It has “C12-15 alkyl benzonate” which is also a texture enhanced that gives a conditioning silky feel to it as well as dimethicone which gives it that primer like feel. Some other key aspects of it claimed by Neutrogena 🍂Won’t cause breakouts 🍂 Non-comedogenic (wont clog pores) 🍂Water resistant up to 80 mins 🍂Fragrance-Free 🍂Oxybensone-Free 🍂Oil-Free So although I don’t have acne, this is Neutrogena ‘s best selling, oil-free sunscreen and was one of the only drugstore sunscreens that I could find that I heard didn’t have a white cast. With this sunscreen it’s a hit or miss. It seems like generally- the majority of people love it (even those that claim they have super sensitive skin) It does feel lightweight and you can see how it applies on both dark and medium-light skin tones in the second and third slide. It gives off a glean at first but dries down matte. I would recommend this if you want a drugstore no white-cast formula and if you don’t have sensitive skin or very dry skin since this has a matte finish. It’s $10.99 for 3 oz which is a lot cheaper than a lot of the K-sunscreens so definitely an affordable option.... Read more

I have combo/oily skin with rosacea and I didn’t experience any irritation with it. The only time I did, was if I was rolling around in bed with it on or rubbed my eyes- then my eyes would feel irritated and water up for about 15 mins. I’ve heard the SPF 50 is even more irritating around the eyes so that’s why I tried out the 30. Also- i havent experienced it, but my cousin who has a darker medium-tone skin says when she sweats that she notices the product turning white on her face.... Read more

This is a great spf! It’s very affordable, does not clog pores, doesn’t feel greasy, and dries clear (no white residue gets left behind) . Wonderful for every day use. Rain or shine spf should be used every morning. I use a small dollop and it’s enough for my face and neck! Perfect for all skin types. ... Read more

good review
It goes on white but when I blend it in it's nearly 100% clear on my skin. I have brown skin and I don't get really any cast from this but deeper skin tones might notice a thin white cast. I use the 3 finger rule for my face + neck area. It dries to a mostly matte finish. Its not a hard matte that dries out your skin but just matte enough where it you don't have a greasy feeling on the face. It's around $7/8 usd at my walmart so very reasonable.... Read more

If you dont put this on early enough and then put your mask on before going out you can really smell this sunscreen. It's fragrance free but you can smell the chemical filters pretty good so make sure you follow the 20 min before going out rule when using this. Like most chemical sunscreens it burns/stings around the eye area.... Read more

Neutrogena is a drug store brand that I do typically like. I don't think their products are bad and I used to use them quite a bit when I was younger. This sunscreen has some good ingredients and is oxybenzone free so didn't irritate my eyes.... Read more

This sunscreen irritated my cheeks leaving them red and with tiny bumps. I also burned slightly on my forehead and nose with reapplying generously and every couple of hours. To the point of almost allowing a white cast to stay protected. Didn't work. I don't recommend this sunscreen.... Read more

good review
Neutrogena’s spf 30 goes on light and does not pill or flake off. For me the sheen that most sunscreens provide was not too oily, and the smell of the sunscreen itself wasn’t overpowering. The price point was very fair if buying in the US. I found its’ size very handy to keep with me in my backpack to reapply throughout the day as needed.... Read more
bad review
Because it’s a chemical sunscreen, if I got the sunscreen in my eyes by sweating or rubbing my eyes, my eyes would sting and become irritated momentarily. This seems to be a common problem for me with any sort of chemical sunscreen, and so it isn’t ideal in sweaty conditions.... Read more
