Beauty of Joseon CALMING SERUM : GREEN TEA + PANTHENOL 🍃

This product aims to help in calming irritated skin and is good for sensitive skin. It was made with 2% Panthenol, an ingredient that helps to build skin barrier to avoid moisture loss and irritation and could also helps to soften and soothes the skin. Additionally, it has 76.49% of Green tea water that is known with it's anti-inflammatory properties. It is also enriched with Vitamin C and Catechin to soothe a skin that is damaged by UV rays.

My Thoughts/Experience 💭

This serum is lightweight, fragrance free, has a pretty apple green color which I really love as it is very pleasing. I use this every night for 12 days and upon using this, it gives my skin a little hydration. I didn't also experience any irritation from using this one and I've noticed that it helps in calming my acnes down which could be seen from the video I posted about 2 weeks ago where it was really inflamed and it does hurt. Honestly, I am using two serums, I apply this first and the Vitamin C afterwards and the reason why I attributed the calming effects in BOJ serum is that, I used the Vitamin C alone for about 3-4 days and my acnes are still reddish and inflamed so I started using this serum and my acne calmed down after around 2-3 nights of using it sooo... I really do love this serum and would still continue using it ☺️

🌿COLOUR, TEXTURE &amp; SCENT 
Pale green in color and scentless. At first, I thought the texture was thick but it was a bit liquid and very lightweight on my skin

🌿MY EXPERIENCE
- This serum packaging is cute, right? The dropper works well and the packaging is very minimal
 - Due to slightly liquid texture, it penetrates into my skin very quickly
 - This serum does not leave an oily or sticky effect. It making my face look glowing
 - I feel VERY VERY COMFORTABLE while using this serum because it is very light and does not make my skin sweat making me addicted to using it every time every day 
 - It is perfect for layering
 - I have been using this serum alone with other skincare products for a few weeks and the results are quite amazing. My skin really likes this serum
- It provides enough hydration to my dry skin
 - It makes my skin as soft as baby&#39;s back skin
 - When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels softer and looks more radiant
 - Very good in soothing and calming because it also can relieve inflammation in my skin especially redness. Now I do not have to worry if my redness worsens during hot days because this serum can reduce it
 - Relieves acne and tiny bumps ? Of course. This is the most noticeable effect I notice while using this serum especially on my cheeks. When I consistently use this serum, I can see that my cheeks become flatter as acne and bumps are reduced
- I think this serum can help my skin get better especially when having a breakout

I thoroughly enjoyed using this but I  found myself asking “do I really personally need this? &quot;

This makes claims which are true - but they aren’t the best options if you are  targeting these issues. Using this serum is complementary to them. 

Claims of youthful skin and rich Vitamin C for bright, clear complexion is mainly based on green tea as an antioxidant. I choose this because it&#39;s a gentle, lower formulation of vitamin C - but it did not give me the glow of another 3% serum I used previously. 

For antiaging you would probably need to include retinoids, collagen or peptides in your routine.

The best fit  for daily use for me is the glow or repair serum which I plan to try.

So many people love this I had to try it. I was also looking for an antioxidant alternative to Vitamin C. 

This serum is comprised mainly of 76.49% green tea leaf water and also contains:

☑️2% Panthenol
☑️Centella Asiatica 
☑️Artemisia vulgaris extract
☑️Traditional Korean medicine
☑️Glycerin, Sodium hyaluronate, Propolis extract

There is no fragrance, alcohol, essential oils. This is also non -comedogenic. 
This calms and soothes redness, sensitivity and damaged skin. It can be used daily AM&#47;PM

Naturally green coloured from the green tea, it is a watery, lightweight serum  feeling  refreshing on  skin.

View this is a gentle antioxidant serum that offers some anti-aging and complexion clearing benefits-  there is nothing wrong with that.

I recommend this as it is potentially someone else&#39;s holy grail.It is perfect for sensitive skin, anyone with skin conditions like eczema or in need of barrier repair. This is a great single use product for anyone looking for slow gentle results.

I do not get how this is getting bad reviews, it works perfect for my skin, calms it and protects it from oxidants. I saw a bit difference using it along side retinol. Definetly repurchasing

It might not be hydrating enough for the dry skin types!

I have a skin which is oily and acne prone which is why am more inclined towards hydrating and calming skincare. I've been using this calming serum from @beautyofjoseon_official in my general routine along with a few acne treatment products..
Instead of going with an indepth review am dropping a few points which you should know if you're planning on trying out this serum!

☘It is recommended if you're using anti acne skincare or using some acne treatment products(it can be Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic acid or any other ingredient) OR if you're into exfoliation routines( if you use it post exfoliation it gives better results as compared to when it is used individually)

☘Although there are many hydrating and soothing ingredients in this, it isn't enough for dry skin. But if you have Combination to Oily skin type..that's ACNE PRONE, DEHYDRATED or SENSITIVE, you'll enjoy using this one.

☘It's very lightweight and absorbs quickly. Gives a nice glow to the skin(which doesn't last long..but okay🤷‍♀️). It does make the skin look plump and healthy..

☘VERDICT
If you want something more intensely hydrating you can skip this one.

But if you want something that feels lightweight and can be layered and is decently hydrating and soothing then go for it!
