This contains fragrance that, although natural, might bother some. It also absorbs into skin so fast that it’s gone before I can finish spreading it to my whole face. I end up adding more product, basically using more than the ideal pea-sized amount. This increases the risk of skin irritation. A fix is to dot product all over face then quickly work into skin with fingers.

Skin Drop Advanced Retinol Complex delivers on its promise of smoother and even-toned skin. It has a cream texture, pleasant light scent, and comes in a convenient pump bottle. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky, greasy residue. 

This treatment uses real retinol, a proven anti-aging ingredient with hundreds of clinical studies proving its efficacy. It’s potent and effective so first time users have to go slow with this. I’ve used moisturizers infused with retinol but those don’t compare to dedicated retinol products so I consider this my first foray into retinoids. I started with twice a week use then thrice a week. Luckily, I didn’t break out from this. The side effect I experienced was dry, flaky skin but it went away on the third week. I noticed an overall brightening within the first month and slightly smoother, tighter skin after about a month and a half. I’m really happy that this treatment worked well on my skin. Keep in mind that results are not instant and it may take several weeks to a few months to see obvious results. 

Aside from retinol, this also contains Cucumber Extract (soothing, antioxidant), Birch Bark Extract (soothing, antioxidant), Sea Kelp (anti-aging, antioxidant), Snow Algae (anti-aging), Meadowfoam Seed Oil (antioxidant), Argan Oil (antioxidant), Vitamin E (antioxidant), Glycerin (moisturizer), and Squalane (moisturizer). This is alcohol-free.
