Despite the controversy on their first launch last year, I'm so glad that I gave this brand a try. And my first pick is their Retinol Complex Serum. First, let's talk about the packaging. They use a glass bottle with pump applicator (yup, not an airless on, just a regular pump). And they use a sticker label at the front and back bottle (that honestly make it looks cheap. sorry). The texture of this serum is creamy gel, with a milky colour. It has a slight chemical scent, but not too overpowering or disturbing for my liking. What I like about this brand is, they're being fully transparent with their product formulations and percentage. I really love trying various retinol product and this one definitely has good ingredients in it. From microencapsulated retinol, a natural bio-retinol, and bakuchiol, a plant-derived retinol alternative. The combination of the three main ingredients help to boost collagen production, improve elasticity, and give skin an overall smoother, brighter disposition. Also, it is said to provide the benefits of retinoids — but without the irritation. When I first started using this serum, I couldn’t use it two days in a row since it left my skin a little tight and dry. Now, I use it every night and am loving the results. My skin is become brighter and my ski tone is more even. Since I don't have fine lines yet, I didn't notice if it's work to treat fine line concern. But I think this product is a great one for those who want to start their Retinol journey.
