This product contains triple ceramide and niacinamide which claim can help strengthen our skin barrier and also help to even out our skin texture and reduce hyperpigmentation. It also claim to be non-comedogenic so that we are not worry it will make our pores clogged. And especially, this product also claim to be sensitive skin friendly.
Well, based on my experience I'm like using this product it is good and work so well on my skin, just I might prefer using their niacinamide Sabi beet version rather than this. I don't know but this barrier version feel a bit greasy on my skin even the texture is watery and easy absorbed by skin but it still left my skin a bit greasy. So, I'm not really comfortable but I still okay with this.
The effect also amazing actually, it help me relieved redness and darkness, also I feel my skin much more stronger to fight with any external effect.
Make my skin a bit greasy. I'm not comfortable with this but it still okay!

It is a light weight serum. It absorbs quite quickly. I like how they have options of 5% and 10% so that beginners can gradually work their way up. It was very easy to add them in my skincare routine. They help minimize the look of my pores and gives a subtle glow.

This serum is a RENEWAL Niacinamide OG (The first niacinamide serum) with vegan formulation used 3 types ceramide (Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP) & 48% Rosa Damascena Water.
Claim : strenghten skinbarrier, brighten skin, fading hyperpigementation, reducing acne and redness .
Packaged by fristed glass bottle in white color, there's a similiar pattern sticker with both (5% and 10%) around the bottle. The dropper applicator has a little arch at the end , it's different with thier sister. This serum has a watery with slightly consistency in white color and I don't smell any scent at all.
It feels slippery or oily at beginning on skin, but it will dissapeared when totally absorbed full into skin. It happen bcz they has ceramide inside. But I really like the finish , not greasy or tacky. I can layering with another skincare and it doesn't bothering each other.
I have using this about 1,5months and I realize this product is very helpful to repairing my skinbarrier. I don't see specific progression on brightening , but it really help to strenghten my skin barrier and rapidly acne healing . Also it can gives me a moisture so skin feels plump and bouncy .
The packaging is similiar with their sister, I think it would better to have a different sticker to recognize each serum.

This comes in a frosted glass bottle with a dropper. The Colour is cloudy white with a semi-viscous texture. Glides beautifully on the skin and dries a little tacky (the tackiness that is not annoying, if you know what I mean). Fragrance-free.
This is a stronger version of their Niacinamide serum and now formulated with ceramics NP and Hydrolyzed Algae Extract that is reef safe (Yay!). product claims to repair, protect and strengthen oneโs skin barrier, as all Niacinamides do.
I used Niacinamide before and my skin had a bad reaction to it so I stopped and since then, my skin has had some love-hate relationship with Niacinamide so I didnโt have many high hopes for this product but I was surprised that this product does not irritate my skin- no redness and itchiness upon application. I've been using this in the AM routine for 3 weeks now and I havenโt seen any brightening effect yet but it has helped improve my skinโs texture. I am using the 5% most of the time and in between, I will use the 10%. I will probably use the 10% more once my skin has gotten used to it.
This now tops all other Niacinamide serums that I have. Will repurchase, 100%.
Nothing significant for now.

โข overall, i really like somethinc as a brand. they have affordable products that cater to wide variety of skin types and concerns. itโs a great brand for beginners and students. however, i find that none of the products ive tried are particularly memorable nor provide a drastic improvement for my skin.
โข the packaging is not the best (crooked dropper, crinkled label, wobbly bottles) but iโm not complaining cause theyโre inexpensive and doesnโt affect their functionality.

My holygrail! Before using this product, my face frequently get itchy sometimes. After using it for 2 weeks, i know now that this products really works well to boost my skin barrier ๐ Thankies Somethinc ๐๐๐
Since this products have a white packaging and netral colour serums, sometimes it becomes hard to see how much that i already used before. Beyond that, i have no complains. Really works well!

i've been using the 5% niacinamide serum everyday and it has actually helped to clear my skin after 2-3 weeks! i find this very light, effective and gentle, particularly since i've been using niacinamide but in lower concentrations prior to this. i'm almost done with the bottle now so i'm keen to upgrade to the 10% bottle soon ๐๐ผ i love that there are different strength levels for beginners to slowly incorporate superstar niacinamide into a routine.

I used up the 5% first then went onto the 10%. As I had been using a 10% Niacinamide from another brand (which I replaced with the Somethinc), when I used the 5% Somethinc I didn't see much brighteningย but what I did feel was my barrier strengthening, there were less break outs and redness has reduced. I then went on to use the 10% Somethinc Niacinamide and that's when I saw my skin get brighter.ย My skin was less oily and felt so smooth. I used the Niacinamide in the morning and night in the serum stage, after toner and before moisturiser. I felt that my skin was a little sticky from the serum so I put less, 4-5 drops which I pat on and it worked. I felt no irritation from this.
