For Flaky Skin
My flaky, full-on peely skin is caused by Tretinoin. But if you have dry flakes at any time, I think these can help you too.

Milky Toner
SashaGrace
Given my skin type, I typically avoid "cream" or "milk" keywords in my skincare. It's too greasy, too occlusive for me. However, there are certain patches around my mouth and where I get cystic acne on my jaw that still have a dryness I didn't have before starting tretinoin 0.025%. 💓Sooo glad I found this toner! I bought it for $10 USD at Ulta. Super accessible, super affordable. 💓This kind of feels more like an essence. It is extremely moisturizing. Hydrating as well, but I choose to still apply a couple layers of toner before using just one layer of this Ulta Milky Toner. 💓The formulation contains hyaluronic acid, meadowfoam seed oil, carrageenan extract, sugar cane, things that are very good for dry skin. The carrageenan might have given me pause with my former very oily skin type, as it can be an acne-triggering ingredient, but it works very well on dryness. 💓It definitely has a viscous slip, but is very watery in consistency and does absorb pretty quickly. Like a gelly milky toner. Once massaged in, I'm left with a light layer of oil that also does sink in, but remains more surface as occlusives tend to. ✨I really love this toner for Fall and Winter, I wish I'd had this during my really flaky tret days. I probably won't need this during the Summer, but it could act as my moisturizer if anything.

Hyaluron Shot Emulsion
I used to only be able to use this on my legs, because despite its thinner consistency for a rich lotion, it's still quite moisturizing. But with dry weather and drying retinoids, this is perfect on my flaky skin.

Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence
SashaGrace
[Description] This product is meant to be a perfectly balanced combination of oil and water to both hydrate and moisturize effectively. The Vegan Tea Complex nourishes with various fermented ingredients, supplementing your skin with nutrients. Some key ingredients are: •sunflower oil (benefits the moisture barrier with ceramide and proteins) •camellia sinensis leaf water (tea plant rich in antioxidants to maintain youthful skin) •schisandra chinensis fruit extract(magnolia berry extract softens skin) •kombucha tea extract (fermented black tea that acts as a good probiotic to the skin's microbiome, fortifying the moisture barrier and maintaining strong immunity) It's a very heavy cylindrical glass bottle that feels high quality and very luxurious. The shape of the cap is so cute. It really matches the milky consistency and color once you shake to combine the formula before application. [Texture] Definitely feels thin and oily, given the dual formulation of water and fermented tea. But it isn't unpleasant, especially after using strong chemical actives or if you have dry patches. It's quite nourishing and moisturizing. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I may not use this during the Summer being that my skin is oily, but I know I will absolutely love this during Fall and Winter! [Scent] I actually couldn't really detect a scent, surprisingly. I'm sure something in the formula is there to cancel out how fermented infredients usually smell, which I don't personally mind, but it is nice to not be offended by any scent from this product at all. [Results] My skin looks healthy, a bit oily shiny, but it sinks in so well and makes my skin feel moisturized and plump. I don't use this as a typical essence, I apply it as my last layer before moisturizer and SPF. But would I purchase this for $35 . . . I'm not so sure. I will continue to use it and test it on my skin type. If it is as good as I think it is for dry skin, I might consider actually purchasing it for specific cold seasonal changes. UPDATE 5/22: it is indeed too oily for me at the moment, but it will be really wonderful in dry, cold weather during our Michigan Fall and Winter seasons. 🍁❄️ **I received this product for free from @go.picky and Dr. Ceuracle in exchange for my honest review.
