The texture and consistency is really nice and unique. It really reminds me of creme brulee or creme caramel dessert. It is has a nice jelly / pudding like bounce to it. The overall consistency is lightweight and once when it comes into contact with skin, it transform to a lotion to gel like consistency. It spreads and glides so effortlessly. I really feel like Glow Recipe nailed the consistency and texture with this product. It leaves a thin film behind but barely noticeable. My skin felt soft and plump with no sticky or tacky feeling. It does takes a few seconds to fully absorb into skin but, it sits well under other products. Also, this cream will give you a nice dewy glow.
In terms of hydration it is just average. I still need to use a hydrating serum or essence underneath. If fragrance is not your thing then, this may not be suitable. The scent reminds me of a banana smoothie but surprisingly it is quite faint and not overpowering. The banana scent does not linger and it actually goes away rather quickly.
