FOREHEAD WRINKLES AMIRITE?!
I feel like I’ve had forehead wrinkles my entire life, and I can definitely thank my dad for those 🙄. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started to worry that they may turn from fine lines to deep wrinkles so I wanted to start putting a little focus on them in my skincare routine.
I’d read about The Ordinary - Argireline Solution a highly rated and totally affordable product from The Ordinary, it specifically claims to improve the appearance of facial areas prone to develop dynamic folds, including the eyes and forehead area - exactly what I was looking for!
Here’s what I thought
💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| I incorporated this into my skincare routine twice a day as recommended, I only use this on my forehead, around the 11’s and crows feet area.. Obviously these products don’t work over night, but I have been seeing some though minimal results. Also this product is a commmmmmitment. 2 times a day for who knows how long... I feel like I’d rather find a more impressive alternative. (See ingredients)
🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| The texture is super pleasant, it’s the consistency of water but leaves a refreshing slightly dewy feel.
👃🏻|SCENT| I don’t find this product is smells anything other then clean, maybe faintly latex-ey?
💦 |INGREDIENTS|
✨ Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (also known as Argireline) - this is a famous peptide for being marketed as ‘Botox in a jar’. It targets wrinkles caused by facial movement and increases the level of skin moisturization. BUT - this ingredient isn’t a collagen builder and doesn’t prevent structural aging (think vitamin C, AHA’s or Retinol) so it is definitely more of a ‘quick fix’ product versus a long term solution.
💸 |VALUE| I mean, for $7.90 CAD a bottle I think it was worth it to pick this product up in the meantime, until I find a fine line/ wrinkle cream that will actually prevent structural ageing. But while I’m now on the hunt for something that will suit my needs this is a reasonable place holder I think!
