I was kind of scared to try this because it sounds SCARY! I was hesitant to add another active into the routine but I’m glad I ended trying it and now it’s a fav!
This is an overnight treatment that target dark spots, dullness and hyperpigmentation. I’ve been using for around a month now and I’ve notice a lot of my previous dark acne scars lightening up!
(This could also be in conjunction to other products I use in my routines too)
I have Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentations (PIH) - this is pretty normal for me since my skin tans quite easily, meaning my body naturally produces more melanin. Although a lot of my PIHs have lightened up overtime, they are still noticeable and I wanted to try something that targets this🤍
Tranexamic Acid is able to block Tyrosinase, which is a key enzyme in melanin production.
This product contain:
⭐️2% Tranexamic Acid
⭐️2% Vitamin C Derivative
⭐️2% Acai Berry Extract
It also has:
💨Glycerin
💨Squalane
The InkeyList recommends using this as your last step. But because I’m such a rebellious gal, I say YOLO and use it as my first step after cleansing in my night routine. I then go in with a retinol and a moisturiser to lock everything in! I haven’t had any reactions with this routine - I have read that it is supposedly ok to pair Retinol and Tranexamic Acid! I do this routine 4-5 nights a week, just so I can give my skin a break from using too many actives all the time🤍
The product itself is very lightweight, it’s like a gel serum? Not drying or overly tacky and sinks into the skin quite fast!
Overall I really enjoy using this. I haven’t found anything this effective in lighting my PIHs so I’m pretty keen on finishing the rest and possibly repurchase to see the long term effects🤍
