GlowRecipe claims that this is supposed to brighten hyperpigmentations, acne scars, dark spots and give the skin a radiant glow✨
The product contains:
💫22% Pineapple Fruit Extract
💫 3-0-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid
💫Ascorbic Acid
💫Lactic Acid
💫Sodium Hyaluronate
💫Squalane
💫Arginine
As always, GlowRecipe’s products are not complete without a bunch of fruit extracts that are also beneficial for the skin!
I like how they’ve incorporated many different forms of Vitamin C to ensure stabilisation of ingredients, as well as having many moisturising and hydrating ingredients to keep the skin plump and glow!
I had no idea the product also had AHA Lactic Acid in it - this is great because it’s gently exfoliates to bring out newer and brighter skin!
The consistency is rather strange? Unlike most Vitamin C serums I’ve used, this one was thick and gooopy! It coats and sinks into the skin very well - this I really liked because most serums are either oily or too watery🤍
The scent is supposed be like pineapple! I personally don’t really like the smell of it, it smells like old pineapple to me ahahah but it’s not super strong anyways
For my experience with this, I found that it wasn’t irritating at all, and did lighten some of my dark spots and scars!
However this product did not last me for as long as I hoped. I finished it in around a month of using it (I used it most mornings!), which is I guess ok but for the price point I was definitely a bit disappointed😔
I also found that towards the very bottom of the bottle, the dropper wasn’t picking up products because it had became chunky! I read online that it’s a rather common thing with this and most people ended up throwing the product away which is such a shame!
I won’t be repurchasing this unfortunately. Although it was great and definitely did brighten my complexion, I can’t justify the price point! Vitamin C is something that’s definitely affordable in the skincare market so spending $75AUD on a bottle is just not it hahaha
