Sunday Morning Refreshing Cleansing Foam

product review positives
They use gentle form of surfactants in this cleanser such as sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, and potassium cocoyl glycinate. These surfactants are known to be gentle, non-drying and won’t damage our skin barrier. They all play role in the foamability of the products. Just like their other products, they highlight their 6-1-1 which is 6 main plant extracts, 1 main ingredients with 1 patented technology incorporated to each of their product. • Key Ingredients As listed in their ingredient list some of their highlighted plant extracts are green tea extract (camellia sinensis leaf extract), Licorice Root Extract, Allantoin, Calendula, Chamomile, Centella Asiatica (110,000ppm) with their core ingredients being the birch sap extracts (Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice). All of these ingredients are nourishing and rich in antioxidant and great at soothing irritated skin. Despite their benefit in a wash-off product is limited, our skin will always appreciate a good pack of antioxidant rich ingredient in any form of product. The patented ingredients for this one cleanser is their “Aquaxyl”. INCI Name: Xylitylglucoside (and) Anhydroxylitol (and) Xylitol. It is claimed to offer 3D hydration that provide moisture throughout skin layers that reinforces the synthesis of essential lipids and proteins. • Packaging White matte packaged tube with a flip-top cap. • Texture Has a white cream or jelly-like texture (i.e. it’s sticky and tacky before water is applied, then it foams up). No abrasive particles. • Scent There is no scent here meaning the soapy or surfactant-y aroma comes through, but in a really mild and almost refreshing kind of way, and this cleanser scents really reminds me of baby powder product. • Personal Experience I like that the brand has aimed to not strip the skin with this cleanser, and I think they do a decent job. I really appreciate it hasn’t got added fragrance. The important thing is that a cleanser with an appropriate pH such as this one isn’t a bad thing. Either way, this claim is valid. This cleanser is powerful enough to remove most makeup and sunscreen traces. The only thing you’re left with is waterproof makeup. But I still don’t think it’s moisturizing or mild enough for people with your type of skin, so I’d recommend something like Pyunkang Yul Low pH Pore Deep Cleansing Foam instead. I can't say that I noticed too much in the way of calming or anti-redness from either cleanser, but I just loved the Axis-Y Sunday Morning Refreshing Cleansing Foam for being so classic and effective. I would absolutely point to it as a great starter cleanser for those looking for something gentle, effective, and approachable for the majority of skin types (no essential oils in this one!). Now having Axis-Y in my routine for a couple of months and I can see the intention behind their products. These really are formulations geared towards acne-prone, oily, or living in humid climates skin. • Suitable For I would recommend this product to all skin types except for sensitive and dry ones. Oily and combination skin types will enjoy it the most. It really acts to balance out the oil levels and gives you an incredibly satisfactory cleanse without any uncomfortable dry feeling afterward. Normal skin types will also enjoy its cleansing properties that don’t dry out the skin. For dry and sensitive types, my skin tends to be dryer during colder season, I haven’t experienced any dry patches from this cleanser, so it should be fine to use. But I still don’t think it’s moisturizing or mild enough for people with your type of skin, so I’d recommend something like Pyunkang Yul Low pH Pore Deep Cleansing Foam instead.
product review negatives
Currently this is my favourite cleanser as it is mild for my oily and acne-prone skin. So, no, my skin doesn't have any bad reaction with these product.
