🌿REVIEW TIME 🌿 Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid and Gel Exfoliant 🔎 What is it? A chemical leave-on exfoliant that helps with shrinking the appearance of pores, wrinkles while exfoliating the skin and improving skin tone 🔬 Main ingredients Liquid exfoliant: 2% salicylic acid (exfoliating) green tea extract (anti-oxidant, calming) methylpropanediol (hydrating) Gel exfoliant; 2% salicylic acid (exfoliating) green tea extract (anti-oxidant, calming) bisabolol (soothing) 💭 My thoughts This product doesn’t really need an introduction, it’s magic in a bottle: it does exactly what it promises. After using it, my skin looks decongested, glowy and my pores look smaller. My pimple prone has been getting less breakouts, with continued use. I’ve been using the liquid exfoliant for over a year when I found out there was also a gel and cream version. While I love the liquid, I feel like it always stays on my skin instead of absorbing, no matter how long I wait. I decided to pick up the gel form to see if it absorbed any better. And it did! This onegot absorbed a lot better and didn’t leave a tacky feeling. It also contains a bit more soothing ingredients than the liquid form (bisabolol, butylene glycol), and if you know me, you know I never get enough of soothing skincare. Which I definitely need while using this BHA. Even though my skin is used to it (3x a week), I still can get dry spots if I don’t follow up with a bunch of hydrating and soothing skincare products. But I’ll take that for granted, seeing the amazing results from this. I’m hooked on this product and it will remain a staple in my skincare routine for a very long time.
