I really didn’t want to write this… but here we are.
As someone who has been living with androgenetic alopecia for 20 years (diagnosed two decades ago), I’ve been on daily minoxidil ever since. It’s a long journey, and if you’re in the same boat, you know it’s all about consistency, patience, and finding products that actually support your routine.
So when I kept seeing the Kérastase Sérum Anti-Chute Fortifiant everywhere on social media, with all the hype and glowing reviews, I thought: maybe this could be a great complementary product to my treatment.
I finished THREE bottles. And I’m honestly so disappointed.
For me, this was a complete flop and totally overhyped. Here’s why:
1️⃣ Zero results. No visible reduction in shedding. No improvement in density. Nothing.
2️⃣ The scent… very strong, very “masculine aftershave”. Personally, I found it extremely unpleasant and overwhelming.
3️⃣ The texture is sticky and heavy. Every application left my hair flat, greasy, and weighed down.
4️⃣ The application instructions are WILD: 4 full pipettes per use. That means soaking wet roots and a very expensive bottle that lasts about 10 days.
For the price point? Absolutely not worth it.
I really wanted this to work, especially because when you deal with androgenetic alopecia you’re always hoping for something that can make even a small difference. But this just wasn’t it for me.
