I got a little mini of the Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer for my birthday. I got this moisturizer to try because I am on Differin and use peels to try to help treat my acne. I really need something to help soothe my skin on the days where it's really red and inflamed.
The lips in oats can help to restore your skin's lipid barrier. Oats also contain antioxidants that can help to scavenge free radicals that damage the skin and then help to restore it! Oats also contain Beta Glucans that can help your skin to hold onto moisture (which is great for me since I live in the desert) Lastly, oats can help balance the Ph of your skin, and if you have acne like me, Ph balance is important.
The texture is so bouncy, lightweight, spreads onto the skin like butter but dries quickly!
The product is described as "non-comedogenic and fragrance-, paraben- alcohol-, dye- and phthalate-free." I will be rebuying this when I run out of the mini.
As a note, Aveeno is not vegan but does state they do not test on animals except when required by law.
