I like having a lot of light layers of hydration in my routine, because I find this is much less likely to clog my pores than using fewer but heavier layers, especially in summer. This serum fits perfectly into a summer routine for oily skin if you're looking for additional hydration.
This is a watery serum that comes in a clear, plastic dropper bottle. There are no added dyes or fragrances in this product. I use a few drops as a first layer, and it immediately soaks into my skin. It layers well under other serums and essences.
This product contains a number of botanical extracts, which may irritate people who are sensitive to them. For all the amazing ingredients included, I did want this serum to do a little more--hydrate more deeply, plump the skin more, and perhaps offer additional calming effects. However, like most Fourth Essay products I've tried, this one is disappointingly one-note.
