Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Fragrance Free

product review positives
Texture : oily, waxy thick ointment . Similar to skin salves, and vaseline but the difference is that vaseline and skin salves come in solid form , this one comes out from the tube very easily so it’s a little more flowy and liquid The different ways i used it : 1. On my face as the last step of my night 2. On scabs 3. As a hand cream 4. As a lip balm My Personal Experience - ( what i liked about it) - very occlusive so it forms a very thick and oily film that helps to prevent moisture loss - versatile like most skin salves are - Comes in a tube packaging so it’s very hygenic and very easy to dispense the product - fragrance free so it’s good for people with allergies to fragrance and for those with sensitive noses
product review negatives
What i did not like about it : When i place it on it’s cap , the product flows out of the tube without me evening squeezing it every time i remove the cap so that’s a bit of wastage and it also gets quite messy, couldn’t control how much product came out when i squeezed it so sometimes a lot of product comes out. It did not add moisture to the skin , just acts as a barrier , so it’s important to hydrate and moisturize the skin before using this . Didn’t work for my oily dehydrated skin either, caused my skin to be more congested. Because it’s more like a skin salve, it’s very sticky , did not like how it felt on my skin especially because i live in a hot and humind environment As a lipbalm, it works fine but vaseline works fine for me too and it’s also a lot cheaper. As a handcream, it prevents flaking but other lotions might have more and better skin healing properties than this. It did not help any scab heal faster . Would i repurchase ? Nope , it did not do anything for my skin. Not sure if this could potentially dry skin out in a humid environment where the skin could absorb moisture from the surrounding when products with humectants are applied to the skin. So i think this doesn’t pair well with hydrating serums unless you live in a very dry climate .
