✅ Great occlusive moisturizer. Helps with transepidermal water loss(TEWL)
✅ Scentless
Since I've received quite a lot of samples(these are freebies, I bought their toner) I decided to give this a try. Texture wise, this feels like a cross between a cream and a gel bordering balmy(like vaseline kind of balmy). Feels oily, greasy even, to the touch. It stays like that and acts like a film somehow. That didn't bother me since I like some occlusives for my nighttime routine.
The first time I used this, I really did felt it helped with TEWL. I layered it on with my trusted isntree green tea emulsion. I woke up with a soft plump looking skin but there is one problem, I noticed a closed comedome near my right eye(sadly I can't show it since the front camera of my phone doesn't capture it clearly). I decided to brush that off since I quite liked how my skin felt but the second night I used it, more closed tiny comedomes appeared the next day.
I'm quite positive that this product is the cause of that since this is the only new addition to my routine. That's too bad since I really wanted to like this product.
Sadly I had to stop using it because of those appearing comedomes. I didn't want to give this a bad rating just because it didn't work for my skin. Still worth a shot to try.
Maybe this will work best on those within the drier skin spectrum. I will probably pass this on to my mom to see if she'll like it, she has more mature and kind of dry skin type.
❎ Jar packaging. Personally I don't find that bothering but some people might
❎ Too heavy/greasy feeling for my skin(in my personal opinion)
‼️Packaging is giving me Round Lab vibes. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but that's one of the reasons I bought the toner
***you can see in the tissue that it seemed to absorb the "oil" from the cream***
