I bought this cleanser when I saw it on 50% sale, and was excited to try it. However, I have to say I’m quite disappointed. Considering that the derma skincare market is already quite saturated (Cetaphil. CeraVe, Aveeno, etc) I didn’t feel that this stood out particularly for me to say it was worth it.
💦Texture: This comes out as a white, iridescent liquid. It is extremely runny, and I found that I need at least two pumps or more to cleanse my face.
✋🏻Application: This does not lather at all, like most other derma skincare cleansers. Because it is so runny, I felt that it didn’t provide good slip when lathering on my face. I felt like I was kind of tugging at my face even when I dispense a lot of it.
💨Performance: It did cleanse my face, and my skin did not feel stripped at all. Compared to Cetaphil, CeraVe, and Derma365 (brands which I’ve tried), I felt that this had the lowest cleansing ability of all. It could be that the surfactants in this are very weak (after all, the packaging does say that it need not be washed off for the most sensitive skin types).
💲Price: Even though I bought this at 50% off, it still came to $11, which for 280ml is quite a lot. Considering that I have to use a lot each time, this isn’t very worth the money.
1. Too runny, felt like I was tugging at my face.
2. Cleansed my skin without stripping, but cleansing ability is low.
3. Expensive, especially at full price.
