The pear line uses wild pear leaves grown in the Baegun Mountain in Korea, and the leaf extract is the perfect source of hydration, gives a really refreshing cooling feeling, and helps maintain balance to the skin's pH level. In my opinion, the serum and soothing work best when used alongside each other. The pads to provide cooling and soothing relief, and the serum to help lock in the moisture and maintain the skin barrier. The soothing pads are unbleached, biodegradeable cotton pads and are super soft. I've used pre-soaked pads in the past where the pads were scratchy and rough, but these are soft, smooth, and makes for gentle application which is a plus since these are likely meant to be used to soothe irritated skin. You can use these pads to wipe your face or left on your face for a few minutes for the ultimate soothing experience like a mini mask. I love that a mini pair of tongs/tweezers are included with the pads to reduce possible contamination, as it seems way more sanitary than sticking your hands in the container. The essence is vegan, cruelty-free, and fragrance free. Fragrance-free is important to me in a soothing/calming product because likely if I'm using a product like this, it's because I'm experiencing an eczema flareup and fragrance often further irritates my eczema. Part of me does wishes it smelt like pears, but since the essence is coming from the wild leaves, it makes sense why it does not. I've been using these pads all over my face minus my eye area, as well as placing them directly on the irritated eczema patches to sooth the inflamed areas along with the serum to keep those patches hydrated.
