I do wonder at times if this is a totally necessary step, especially for someone like me who has oily skin. Maybe if you had dry skin and you weren&#39;t getting enough hydration from the products you were already using, this may be necessary. But I think I probably get enough hydration from my serum and moisturiser, therefore this is a very expensive step in my skin care routine

This is a lovely essense. Really nice consistency.  Not too thick and not too thin.
Sinks into the skin very easily and doesn&#39;t leave it sticky or tacky.
You can feel a real hydration boost from first use.
There is no scent which is great for anyone who likes their skincare to be unfragranced
