This matrix mesh mask comes in a dry state due to its freeze-dried technology which then can be activated by adding toner or water. The serum has been frozen and embedded in the mask and includes some of the most impressive ingredients like Silk Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, and Peptide Complex.
The mask itself has two sides – embossed & smooth – the latter is the side that will stick on our face. When you add toner, in my case using their own 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿, the mask will turn super stretchy and almost like a hydrogel. You can slowly feel the presence of the serum, absorbed into the skin. It has no distinct scent but to be reminded that it has Sweet Orange Peel. I leave the mask for ~15minutes and then rinse my face. I love how it makes my skin feel – hydrating, soothing, cooling, and moisturized. My skin also looks super clean, pores appear smaller – though temporary – but I am really impressed with how it performs on my skin. Also, this technology is very new to me so I appreciate how innovative it is.
Overall, this mask is a decent one and thoroughly enjoyable. If you like having some fun in your routine, you can try this one!
My only complaint will be how difficult it is to apply this mask. First, the mask is firmly attached to a plastic layer which during my first time, I accidentally tore down the mask. While I appreciate this does not have any dripping essence like other sheet masks, I feel like the continuous activation process defeats the purpose of a masking session – relaxing. I still think this is a great product, though.
