When I hear the words “Foaming Cleanser”, this Micro-Biome Cleansing Foam by Audrey&Young is exactly what I think of. This cleanser has quickly overtaken other cleansing foams in my collection bc it is definitely one of my favorites to use as a second cleanse in conjunction with a cleansing oil since it is a thicker lather that seems to really remove any impurities or residue without leaving a drying after-feel, it was actually really hydrating & nourishing (I really liked using A&Y’s Cica Biome Cleansing Oil before this as a first cleanse & tried mixing a little of this with Lancôme’s Exfoliating Clarifying Gel one day….that ended up being a very nice/gentle combo I used on my neck). When I used this with my hands minimal effort was needed to get a nice lather, but, when I used it with foaming net or one of the foam making gadgets via pumping it took the lather & foam up another notch (I also applied the cleanser as though it was a milk cleanser then followed up with wetting my fingers to start the lather which was a nice experience since it was so creamy). This is advertised as having no artificial/synthetic fragrance, but, I did catch a tiny scent that’s probably coming from one of the extracts used in the formula. I found myself reaching for this more at night versus in the morning or afternoon & I think that’s because of the format being a dense lather which is what I prefer using at night (I tend to use thicker products during my night routines). This cleanser did a great job removing the oil residue or any other impurities that may have been lingering without causing any issues. With this being a pH balanced Biome Complex foaming cleanser I don’t have to worry about barrier disruption & with this being only $15 for a 4.05oz/120mL squeeze tube I will definitely be purchasing once I use up the remaining amount.
