I swear, this mask was the most confusing mask I had ever tried. Upon opening the product, you can smell super strong alcohol scent and I was afraid at first. I had dry skin, though my skin doesn’t exactly have big problem with products with alcohol in it, I did once experience my skin became really dry after using a product that had strong alcohol smell (ehem-TBS sheet mask-ehem). There was indeed alcohol on the top 5 of the ingredient list and it was a Makgeolli mask so what did I expect. The amount of essence inside was adequate, it was not too little that the mask became dry but not too much that the essence drip so much when I take out the sheet from the packaging.
The essence did smell of strong alcohol. There was rice ferment extract – makgeolli and I kind of expect that. The essence was runny, almost water like, and it was easy to lather the remaining essence to my body. The essence itself was very easy to be absorb to my skin after applying. Though it had a lot of alcohol in it, it didn’t dry my skin out and did a pretty good job that I felt my skin moisturized and nourished. It did give me instant brightening effect, though it doesn’t stay that long. I think, it would be a great mask if you need a quick fix for hydration and brightening effect.
