As with all products in this line, they have been formulated without essential oils or fragrance, which make them also suitable for sensitive skin. This particular product features 9% PHA. Much like the LHA, PHA has a larger molecular structure meaning it is gentler on the skin. Personally, I prefer these types of gentler exfoliation that can be done everyday / every other day.
As for this toner itself, I will be completely honest… it’s fairly average.
It comes in a 250ml bottle which definitely represents value for money, but I wasn’t entirely satisfied with my overall experience. It did work well in clearing any remaining residue post-cleanse and my skin after continued use definitely felt smoother.
I normally prefer to pat my toners in, but found this to be too watery. I don’t mind using it with a pad, but find it feels more like a miscellar water then. It did work well in clearing any remaining residue post-cleanse and my skin after continued use definitely felt smoother, but I found my skin had a lingering tackiness whilst waiting for it to absorb fully. And considering this doesn’t really offer my skin much in the way of hydration, it can be mildly irritating waiting for a product like this to absorb before moving onto a more hydrating toner.
So sadly, this wasn’t really a hit for me, but I am grateful for the opportunity in getting to try it.
