This is 100% pure centella asiatica which is known for it’s soothing , calming and hydrating properties.
👌🏻Texture + application : watery , light weight and not oily at all, absorbs without any residue . Also it has no scent and no colour , has a little viscosity but still super watery
👌🏻Ingredients :
This has no fragrance or preservatives listed in the ingredient lists and centella is its only ingredient . This makes it great for people who are sensitive to fragrances /have a sensitive nose /are allergic to a lot of ingredients commonly found in skincare products . It’s so gentle i feel like even kids could use it !
👌🏻My thoughts ( what i liked about it ):
This is super gentle and unlikely to cause any irritation and everyone can enjoy using it because the ingredient list has only 1 ingredient and centella has be known to be beneficial for sensitive skin types . What i liked about it is that i don’t have to worry about it causing irritation and i can use it everyday with any actives i like . It’s not going to interferre with the other actives and it’s very layerable ( can put on other products with it without feeing any heaviness ) . Good choice if you want to reset your skin and start gentle again without giving up the serum step. I think people with oily skin who are looking for very watery products will like this , this has no oil in it and feels like water . Almost zero occlusiveness and non-emollient
Also centella has known to be beneficial for almost any skin type.
What i did not like about it :
🔴 Packaging : so beautiful and classy but it’s translucent so i’m not sure if the uv rays will affect it’s stability ( just keeping it in dark places for precaution )
🔴 experience using this : the hydrating and calming properties weren’t very significant when using this product. My skin did feel a little more calmed and hydrated but didn’t really see a difference in the hydration levels/ tightness of my skin. And calming wise, it is good for the skin but again not much significance in reduction of redness.
🔴 Formulation- too simple for me, i feel like the concentration of centella is not enough to add hydration and calmness to my skin? It just wasn’t very effective . There are some other single extract products out there but this one just didn’t do much for my skin.
❓Would i recommend this?
If you are wanting to try out centella but can’t find a product that might suit your skin or have too many sensitivities that don’t allow you to test out products this might be a good start just don’t expect much miracles ! This is super unlikely to cause any adverse reactions such pore clogging or breakouts or allergies or dryness so this would be safe to use for any skin type. Also texture is great not oily and not drying kinda like lightly hydrating liquid that is slightly thicker than water but super easy to glide on the skin. No stickyness and no residue. More for replenishing hydration( replenish water) rather than moisture ( replenish oil/provide emollience)
and definitey not occlusive so it won’t really protect the skin from moisture loss in my opinion but it does add a little bit of hydration to the skin though not a lot
💰Would i repurchase ?
No , for it’s price point ( selling about 18 usd for 100ml on amazon - while at least you can carry it on the airplane ! ) i feel that there are much better products in the market that are more worth the money. This was not moisturizing enough.
