Experience:
This lip scrub is quite refreshing to use . The castor sugar is quite wet so it’s not too rough on the skin and it doesn’t irritate the lips. If you use an appropriate amount and if you are able to get it onto the lips(without it dropping), this scrub actually does help to exfoliate, leaving smooth and soft and allowing for better lipstick application. It really helps with getting rid of dry patches. Love using it on my dry and sometimes cracked lips.
Ingredient + formulation :
The flavour is minty and sweet . I’m glad that they used real pepperment oil .It does not have that artificial minty scent to it and it smells quite pleasant. It is self-preserving so it doesn’t have added preservatives and that’s great because i know i won’t be accidentally swallowing any preservatives. Safety wise, it’s quite safe and sort of edible ?
🍃Peppermint oil
Organic jojoba oil
Vanilla extract
🍬Castor sugar
Tagetes oil
The added jojoba oil does help to soften the lips as well . It is not greasy . Feels a bit sticky because of the sugar. ( the sugar is moist but doesn’t melt when i keep it in a dark place -so that’s good )
What i did not like about this:
Sometimes the sugar ( especially if there are some hard chunks that weren’t mixed in well and is hard to break apart) doesn’t adhere to the lips well and so some product gets wasted in the process. Also the sugar kinda gets messy as some of it inevitably will drop on the floor or on the kitchen( whichever surface you are on )
Would i repurchase ?
No, because it’s quite pricey and there are cheaper alternatives . It retails for 25SGD in my country for 25g . In the US it’s slightly cheaper , retailing at around 13usd for the same amount.
