Moreover, the promise to strengthen the skin barrier with ceramides and squalane sounded promising. Curél Makeup Remover Cleansing Gel is my go-to makeup and spf remover. So why not ditch my good old CERAVE Moisturizing Cream? Maybe something new could also work to fight tretinoin dryness and peeling. 🔹This is one peculiar moisturizer. Surprisingly lightweight, but intensely moisturizing. However, it doesn't absorb instantly like the brand claims to. I can feel the product sitting on the top of my skin. It's sort of silicony and does feel greasy for my skin type. 🔹It's easy to go overboard and scoop too much product. Small portions and layering will do the trick. I had no intention to apply the moisturizer in my daytime routine because there's no way my skin could get away with that. I feel like it's probably not the best moisturizer for my current tretinoin cream, but it has been working wonderfully on non-tretinoin nights. No dryness or peeling. My skin barrier is healthy. ~ I would gladly repurchase, but it's not exactly the most affordable moisturizer for the amount of product contained in the jar. Probably if I could get a discount 🤷🏻‍♀️
