I was kindly gifted this by the Real Barrier x Picky giveaway, and here are my thoughts.
I genuinely LOVED this cream, even as someone with oily skin. I was a bit worried at first as the name and the reviews suggested this would be a very thicccc occlusive cream. But I personally enjoyed using it a lot.
🧴Ingredient highlight: This cream contains a patented Omega-Ceramide-16 and other ceramide ingredients for skin barrier repair and moisturisation. The patented ingredient contains MLE technology which (allegedly) mimics a healthy skin barrier. Naturally I was very intrigued and curious to try this out because of the claims.
💦Texture: This is a very thick cream. It doesn’t shift at all. The texture kinda reminds me of cold butter or chilled buttercream frosting.
🤚🏻Application: Even though this has a very thick texture, it spreads quite easily once you warm it in your hands. I don’t use /a lot/ as it might become too heavy on my skin. What surprised me the most is that it doesn’t really leave an overly dewy finish like many other moisturisers I’ve used. It also doesn’t feel that heavy and occlusive, and yet for some reason I also feel like it’s very nourishing at the same time!
💨Performance: I use this at night, and wake up with very hydrated and moisturised skin! As my skin barrier has been rather healthy lately I didn’t get the chance to test this out on comrpomised skin. But from my experience using this as a moisturiser, it looks like the claims are justified.
💲Price: This is a very pricey cream tbh. It sells for about S$40 for 50ml on Shopee. I’m not sure I will repurchase this again even though I love using it. If I do, I’ll keep it in my emergency stash for when my skin is irritated.
🌸Fragrance: There is no added fragrance, but it does have a slightly medicinal scent that I can’t put my finger on. I found it very pleasant though.
