This has a semi liquid-like texture, thinner in consistency then it use to be, and smells like your typical charcoal/clay mask. It down on the skin quickly and it doesn’t feel uncomfortable once it has. Does a good job at removing excess sebum in my t-zone and while it did help clear pores fairly well, it only works temporarily and I didn’t see a huge improvement in pores. Personally I found this better used as a spot treatment, or just on nose and chin, then an all over product. When used as a spot treatment I noticed it helped reduce the pimple in size and reduced the irritation. A lot of charcoal masks can leave my skin feeling irritated but this one doesn’t, it does leave my skin feeling slightly dry after washing off so I would use a hydrating toner after using. I would recommend to those with oily and acne prone skin.
