It has a slightly viscous consistency but turns into water when on skin and absorbs quickly. Absolutely love that it doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue or leave my skin feeling oily. Like most LANEIGE products, this also contains fragrance that is more like a perfume but disappears once absorbed into skin. It doesn’t cause my skin any irritation nor does it clog my pores. My skin is visibly more plump after using and it helps retain moisture throughout the day. This is a basic essence that’s main purpose is to provide hydration, there really is no other main function.
