When I say this is the most surprised I have ever been by a product, I am not kidding! I was gifted a range of products from @APRILSKIN earlier this month and this Calendula Peel Off Mask was the one I was most cautious to try.
So quickly on the brand. APRILSKIN is a company thats focus is on creating gentle but high performing products that are both natural and non-irritating to the skin. Their products are fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, clinically tested, and not to mention packaged beautifully. With simple ingredients that are gentle they encourage serum layering to better help your skin
Now the reason I was so scared to try this peel off mask is because the last one I used was so painful! It was before I fully got into skincare and smelled like glue which should have been a warning. After looking at the ingredients and reviews and still sat in terror for 30mins waiting for the mask to dry. When it was time to peel it was so easy! The mask came right off with no pain, there was zero redness or irritation, and my skin look very calm and felt so smooth
The hero ingredient for this mask is the calendula which is an amazing smoothing product that also helps hydrating you skin. There a little bits in the mask so you get to mix it up a bit before applying. There is also quite I large about of alcohol in the product which can be drying. I find using the mask twice a week is great to get the benefits without overly stripping it exfoliating. The mask is also sticky and thick to apply but feels like on my face and peels off in one thin layer
Since my first use after figuring out how great this product is, I look forward to using it twice a week. I have noticed less redness, smooth skin, and my pore are also appearing smaller. I haven’t noticed a difference in the exfoliating part of removing blackheads, but other than that this is a great way to relax and know that the mask is helping keep my skin calm and clear
