I received this sample from @lamer in exchange for my honest review.
Crème de La Mer moisturising cream.
An intensively rich moisturising cream, enriched with miracle broth; with the power to rejuvenate the skin.
Prices starts from £70 for 15ml, to a heart stopping £1700 for 500ml. 😮
Is this product really as good as it’s hyped up to be and is it worth breaking the bank?
Here’s what I thought…
Pros:
✅ Smells incredible, if you like the smell of fresh peeled limes, this is lovely!
✅ Soothing and kind to sensitive skin.
✅ Rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
✅ Ideal for those with the driest complexions.
✅ Great for winter! Rich and creamy.
✅ Skin feels hydrated and plump after first application.
Cons:
❌ Expensive
❌Quite heavy, borderline greasy; for this reason I would not recommend this to someone with an oily complexion.
❌ To be honest, I was rather disappointed to find that my skin did not feel softer/smoother after application. Something you would expect from a high end luxury product.
So to summarise, the answer to my question above is sadly no unfortunately. It’s a good cream, just not the best cream I’ve tested to date. For the price you pay, you would expect more. There are many other moisturisers out there, that can do the same thing for much less. It’s a real shame, I had such high hopes for this cream but as mentioned, it was much too heavy and did not leave a lasting impression.
