With at least 13 known highly effective moisturizing and several anti-aging ingredients, the most active, in my opinion, being Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, and Urea, this creamy serum has some great benefits. It’s hydrating, but not occlusive, so is safe for all skin types. Myriad active ingredients, including those noted and many more traditional actives, have saved my skin from excessive dryness during my recent re-entry into Tretinoin/Retin-A. Notably, Murad Resurgence Collagen Serum’s formula contains several antioxidants. The product claims to reduce fine lines within two hours. Such a claim causes me to to infer that any reduction in fine lines will be temporary: the treatment is more symptomatic than therapeutic.
All in all, it’s a good serum, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price. I’ve seen much better products priced more competitively. While I would use it again; I wouldn’t pay retail.
This serum is cost-prohibitive. Additionally, it contains linalool, a controversial ingredient which some skin care experts say is cytotoxic. There must be some validity to this claim, as it is prohibited by law or many practitioners during pregnancy.
