Honestly, this is the first time Iβve included retinol-based products in my skincare regimen. I was a bit nervous to try this ingredient, but I knew I could trust the formulation made by Roselle π

This serum uses Actosome Retinol, which is essentially more stable and more effective than regular retinol. It also results in less possibility of purging/breakouts

It is a fragrance-free product. So it reduces the chances of irritation and of course, itβs a pleasure for someone who prefers an unscented product like me!

===My Experience===
As a beginner to retinol, for the first few weeks, I used it once a week and since I noticed my skin could tolerate it, I increased the frequency of use to twice a week.
This product quickly penetrates into the skin without leaving a tacky or greasy feeling
I prefer to do sandwich method by layering a moisturizer-retinol-moisturizer for deep moisturizing. Another method I use is moisturizer-retinol-face oil
Usually I will prep my face using a moisturizing sheet mask before using retinol products
I noticed my skin looks brighter as it is great to pair with other toners/essences/brightening serums
During 1 and a half months of using ceraretinol, my PIE seemed to fade a bit, but, there was no change in PIH. It is understandable because a longer time is required for a significant improvement of PIH
I did not experience any tingling sensations as well as any purgings or breakouts

- Unscented product
- Doesn't make skin dry thanks to the ceramide NP
- No purging or breakouts
- No irrittation on skin
- PIE fades slowly, but surely
- Brightens the skin (I pair it with other brightening products such as Roselle Power Essence to boost the results)
- Yet to see noticeable improvement on PIH. Need to use much longer
- Need to be disciplined on βdonβtsβ as listed in the friendly reminders below

βPlease avoid using retinol or any form of Vitamin A ingredient if you are pregnant, breastfeeding & TTC βKindly do a patch test to monitor for any negative reactions
βRemember to always use sunscreen as retinol can trigger sun-sensitivity
βPlease refrain using retinol in the same routine as Vitamin C and AHA/BHA
βRetinol should not be used on damp skin as the skin will absorb more than necessary and cause irritation
