💟I’m From Fig Scrub Mask review💟
The Fig Scrub Mask is a gentle physical exfoliator from famous vegan-friendly and cruelty-free Korean skincare brand @imfrom_global.
Formulated with Fig Powder and Brown Sugar, the scrub removes dead skin cells and impurities to reveal bright and smooth skin.
Fig Powder (1.2%) is made of figs from the land of Yeongam (Korea) that are dried for 12 hours and ground into fine powder.
The figs are rich in proteolitic enzyme that effectively breaks down dead skin cells. Brown sugar helps to peel off all the impurities and remaining dead skin cells for clean and smooth complexion.
The mask comes in a glass jar, has dense texture with sugar particles, brown colour and floral scent (does contain fragrance!)
✨My experience:
While everybody agrees that exfoliation is an essential step of skincare routine, most skincare specialists would advise against using physical scrubs and suggest chemical exfoliation instead. However, physical scrubs have come a long way since microbeads and nutshells. Nowadays, physical scrubs made from sugar and fruit enzymes are gentle and exfoliating without any damage or discomfort.
Personally, I’m finding that alternating between physical and chemical exfoliation gives me the best results!
I use this scrub just once a week and love the effect of it on my skin! I apply it on wet face (it’s important, as water melts sugar and it becomes less abrasive), gently (another crucial word!!!) go over my skin with a circular motions, leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
My skin feels velvety soft and really smooth after using this mask and the rest of my skincare absorbs so much better!
I do not experience any irritation using it, however, my skin is resilient, so please do patch test if you have sensitive skin and remember do not rub your face hard!!
I do enjoy having good physical exfoliant in my routine and this scrub mask is definitely a great option!
